V sat in the council room, her hands resting on the table in front of her. The carved wood mapped out the main Peqkya landmarks. Her caterpillar preened while sat directly atop Riaow.
The councillors reported on the state of the country. They had governed well together, debating on significant issues, taking votes and agreeing the best plan. V listened to their updates.
“I think that is all, my Melokai,” Head Scholar Chaz said.
V looked at each of her councillors in turn. The councillors who had served Melokai Ramya: Head Teller Omya, Head Speaker Zecky, Mother of Mothers Naomya, and Chaz. Then she smiled at her appointed councillors, Lizya the Head Warrior and Jozya, now the Head Trader. They waited for her reply.
