First step towards the plan

Lucy's Pov :

The next morning, I woke up from the bed, did my morning routine and went down to kitchen, for making breakfast. While cooking, I talked to my parents for a while. And then I hung up the call and had my breakfast. After that I called Sir James, my senior, the one who is in the charge of the case of Lorenzo.

I told him whatever I saw yesterday, related to Lorenzo. Then I informed him that today I'm going to take the first step towards our plan. He wished me all the luck and then asked me to be careful. I thanked him and assured him that I'll take care of myself. After that I hung up the call and went near the half opened door to see if Lorenzo went out of the house or not.

Lorenzo's Pov :

The morning sunrays fell on my face and I growled. I woke up and sat on my bed. Because of the yesterday's incident, I couldn't slept well. I lazily stood up from the bed and went into the bathroom. After taking bath, I came to the kitchen for making breakfast. I made pancakes.

I couldn't explain it that how much I hate to cook and to do all the housing chores. Back then in my mansion, there were so many maids to cook and also to do the other chores, that I was living like a king. Just with a flick of my finger, the maids would be present before me. But now because of those stupid cops, I have to do everything by myself. Even after sacrificing so much and living secretly, how the hell did the investigation department find out about me?

I was having my breakfast while having all those thoughts in my mind. Then I remembered that there were not enough groceries in stock. So after having breakfast I went out for grocery shopping.

Lucy's Pov :

I peeped through my half opened door and saw that Lorenzo already went out of the house. So I quickly went out of the house and tail behind him. I saw that he went inside the grocery store. But I didn't entered inside the store and instead waited for him to come out.

After a while, he came out of the store. I thought that now it's time for me to take the first step. While he was coming, I intentionally came in front of him and bumped into him. All the vegetables from his hand fell down. He looked a bit annoyed. But without saying a word and glancing at me, he sat down and began to pick up the vegetables. I said sorry to him. To which he didn't even bothered to reply or to look up at me. I felt annoyed by his behaviour. But I ignored it, as I have to stick to my plan.

Then I too sat down and began to pick up the vegetables. After collecting the vegetables I gave it to him. That's when he looked at me. And I too looked at him from close. Because till now I have seen him from afar.

But I must tell damn he is so handsome. His muscular body, toned abs, sun tanned skin, sharp jawline. It can make any women go head over heels for him. He looks like a Greek god. His white t-shirt was showing his well built body. His hazel orbs were really beautiful and mesmerizing.

For a second, I forgot that who he was and I began to check him out. Then I saw a smirk plastered on his face. I quickly removed my glance from him feeling embarassed. My cheeks felt hot and I bet my cheeks turned red. Then I again looked at him. His one glance can make any women's knees go weak. Man this guy is seriously distracting me from my plan. I didn't knew that Lorenzo was so handsome.

Then I cleared my throat and got back on my plan. I extended my hand towards him to shook and said, "Hello I'm Lucy". He took my hand and shook it and said, "Hi I'm Lorenzo". I smiled at him and said, "Nice meeting you Lorenzo". He said, "Same here". I said, "By the way once again I'm sorry for dropping your vegetables down". He said, "It's okay you haven't done it intentionally". I felt a bit bad as I did it intentionally. Then I nod and gave him a forced smile. "Well hope to see you again in the future", he said and was about to leave, when I called him, "Lorenzo".

He stopped and partially turned towards me and said, "Yes". "Are you going straight". He was baffled by my sudden question and replied while knitting his eyebrows in confusion, "Yes why?" "Um actually I'm also going in the same direction as yours. So if you don't mind can I join you". He looked at me suspiciously for a few seconds and then agreed.

While walking with him, I tried to have conversation with him, especially I tried to take out his personal information. However I didn't succeeded in doing so. As he was not ready to open his mouth and talk about himself. It was only me, who was blabbering like a stupid in the whole walk. He just replied with a yes or no. Man he is not an easy one to deal with. Next time I have to work really hard.

We reached our homes. In the whole walk, I was able to know only one thing about him and that is his home. And that too I already knew. Then we turned to each other. I said to him, "Finally we reached home". He said, "Yeah". "So as we are neighbours, I invite you to my house". He replied to me with a fake smile, "Um thanks for your invitation". "WelI I hope we can be good friends", I said with a smile, while extending my hand towards him. He shook my hand and said, "Yeah I too hope for it".

Then he said to me, "Well then see you around". I smiled at him and said, "Yeah definitely". Then he went inside his house. Man I must tell my heart was beating very fast. O God it's going to be really a difficult task, to deal with this handsome Mafia. Then I glanced towards his house for the last time and went inside my house.

Lorenzo's Pov :

I went to the grocery store and bought some vegetables. After that I came out of the store and without wasting any time I headed towards my home. As I was going towards the direction of my home, suddenly someone bumped into me and all the vegetables from my hands fell down. I felt a bit angry but I controlled myself. Without looking at the person, I sat down and began to pick up the vegetables. Then I heard a girl's voice saying sorry to me. However I didn't bothered to look up at her and was busy in my work. Then she too sat down and began to pick it up.

After collecting the vegetables she gave it to me. That's when I looked at her and I must say she is really beautiful. She has blue eyes, curvy figure and a good height. She was wearing jeans and a tank top. I must say she is really hot. Then I saw that she was checking me out. And it automatically brought a smirk in my face. She noticed it and removed her glance from me and looked elsewhere. She was blushing and her cheeks turned into a tint of red shade.

Then she again looked at me. She cleared her throat and extended her hand towards me to shook and said, "Hello I'm Lucy". I too extended my hand and shook her hand and said, "Hi I'm Lorenzo". She gave me a smile and said, "Nice meeting you Lorenzo". Then I said, "Same here".

She said, "By the way once again I'm sorry for dropping your vegetables down". "It's okay you haven't done it intentionally", I told her as she shouldn't felt sorry for something which was not her fault but happened accidentally. Then she nod and gave me a forced smile. But I couldn't understand why she forced a smile to me.

I said to her, "Well hope to see you again in the future", and was about to leave, when she called me, "Lorenzo". I stopped and partially turned towards her and said, "Yes". "Are you going straight?" I got baffled by her sudden question and replied while knitting my eyebrows in confusion, "Yes why?" "Um actually I'm also going in the same direction as yours. So if you don't mind can I join you?" I looked at her suspiciously for a few seconds because of her sudden request to join me. As in Mafia we don't trust anyone easily. However she doesn't look like any suspicious to me. So I agreed to her.

In the whole road she was blabbering non stop. She tried to ask me some personal questions. However I didn't replied to it. Because it's not safe to reveal my personal information to someone whom I met just now. I didn't talk much. I replied to her with a yes or no. I just told her about my house, as she will already know cause she is my neighbour, which I came to know. because of her blabbering. At last we reached our home.

We turned to each other. She said, "Finally we reached home". I said, "Yeah". Then she said, "So as we are neighbours so I invite you to my house". I replied to her with a fake smile, "Um thanks for your invitation". "Well I hope we can be good friends", she said with a smile, while extending her hand towards me. I shook her hand and said, "Yeah I too hope for it".

Then I said to her, "Well then see you around". She smiled at me and said, "Yeah definitely". After saying I went inside my house.
