The way it turns out

Gi Hoon had a mental breakdown when Ji An revealed the reason she didn't want to continue the song process. He felt defeated before starting, but the desire to get rid of Ji An's sadness was strong. He felt he still had a chance. The girl was saddened by Han Sung's indirect rejection. ['The boy seemed stupid not to notice that this girl liked him.'] Gi Hoon only needed a little observation and tadaa~ he knew this girl's feelings for Han Sung. She's like an open book to him. He didn't lie when he said many ideas in his head after hearing Ji An's remarks. As soon as he arrived at his apartment, Gi Hoon made music for several hours. He poured everything that girl felt into his music, and it became the last bonus track for his mini-album. He was a little excited because he was going to take the girl to school so he lacked sleep. But that's not all. Ji An decided to become his seatmate. They talked about many things about music during their time as seatmates and their relationship grew closer. Meanwhile, Ji An and Han Sung's relationship has strained. Don't know if the boy noticed. "You're leaving school?" "Hmm," Gi Hoon nodded slightly. "Only a few days to take care of releasing my mini album." He is on the school's rooftop with Ji An. They missed lunch because Ji An said she wanted to hear a little spoiler of the song from his mini-album. Usually Gi Hoon never does this, except to Ha Joon and Hee Seok who live with him, but he immediately agrees to lend his iPod to the girl. He's been too good lately. Ji An, who was listening to the song with one earphone, said, "Then I will be alone without a seatmate for a few days, huh? Boring." Gi Hoon was stunned. He felt something flying inside his stomach— Butterflies?—What does this girl mean that she missed him even before he left? He became very excited just thinking about it. "I'll send messages to you, so you don't get bored." Ji An snorted with laughter. "No, don't be. I'm not so important that you have to send me messages." Gi Hoon stunned again before he said, "What if you are important?" "Ha?" "What if I think you're important to me?" The girl was silent with her eyes widened. Gi Hoon continued, "I want to text you, or even call you, or meet you every day if I can." Gi Hoon cursed himself after saying that. Why can't this genius mouth stop? Look! The girl looks scared now. ♡♡♡ "O...what... do...you mean?" Ji An felt her throat and lips dry. She repeated Gi Hoon's words in her brain. Why does it sound like a confession? This boy is saying the lyrics to the song, right? Is not it? She thinks so. Gi Hoon's face didn't show any expression. He's joking. Ji An let out a strange laugh. She clapped her hands in front of Gi Hoon's face. "Wow, Mr. PD. Is that the lyrics in your song? What kind of track is it. Sounds impressive." Gi Hoon's face frowned. "You think I'm kidding?" Ji An's laughter faded. "No. It's not like that. Your words weren't a joke. That's really good. I haven't heard all of your songs yet, so which song track to be—" "It's not in my lyrics. That's what I said to you. I'm serious right now. I ..." Ji An became afraid to hear Gi Hoon's next words. Just expressing feelings is scary for Ji An, let alone hearing confession. This will count as her first experience of receiving confession, right? "I ..." Gi Hoon closed his eyes for a moment, sighed. Ji An was already panicking before Gi Hoon even said it. It might not be something Ji An thought. May be... "I like you." DEG! If a medusa did exist, then Ji An would definitely be frozen at the sight of Gi Hoon's serious gaze. This boy is not kidding! He really confess to her! Ji An's brain is stuck. Her heart was beating wildly. She could feel the heat running all over her face. ['What should I do?!'] Gi Hoon gulped. "I ... I didn't say the lyrics of my song. Maybe I will ... I'll use it some time, but ... I ... I ... I'm serious about what I say," He stuttered heavily. "Oh..." Ji An heard an unclear squeak from her mouth. "I... I see ...." ['What should I say?'] Ji An felt her hands sweat. She rubbed her hands across her sweatpants and muttered 'oh' and 'hm' in confusion. "I know you still have feelings for him even though you were rejected outright," Gi Hoon looked away. "At first I felt like I was defeated, but ... I don't like seeing you sad. That boy may never notice his actions." Ji An was stunned. In retrospect, as long as Ji An was with Gi Hoon, she didn't think much of Han Sung. They do meet at home, at the dining table, in the shop, but they don't talk much. Ji An chose not to talk much to the boy. Ji An tries to bury her feelings even though it still hurts a little when she remembers Han Sung's sacred words about 'brother-sister'. She even kept the hourglass necklace in the storage box along with birthday gifts from Han Sung. Don't want things related to that boy to be seen in her room. Han Sung probably realized the gifts he gave were not visible in Ji An's room when the boy came to her room one night to borrow a pen. The boy only commented that Ji An's room looked free. The meaning may be the dolls on the bed as well as the photo frame that was previously hung over the divan bed. Ji An had already kept the items he had given her, in a large box stacked in the wardrobe. Ji An closed her eyes and sighed as she remembered that. "I look pathetic, don't I?" "Hm," Gi Hoon muttered, nodding slightly. "And you look ugly for crying over other people." ['This boy still had time to joke around.'] "But I still like you." Her heart was beating fast again. And what happened after that made her heart stop when she could feel Gi Hoon's soft lips against hers. ♡♡♡ Almost a week has passed since Han Sung being a seatmate with Myung Jo. He was getting nervous about the fact that Ji An almost—whether they were at home or at the shop—didn't look at him and talked much to him. The gifts he gave weren't even visible in the girl's room. He bit his nails, his mind confused. Will making new friends make you forget old friends? Just like Ji An did to him now. Is it because they both have the same interest in music, that is why they are getting closer? Class hours ended imperceptibly and break time arrived. Han Sung saw Ji An leaving the class first with Gi Hoon, Jin Seok and Ha Joon. And the other three headed for the dance club room. He was just thinking about catching up with Ji An, when Yeon Hee stood in front of him. "We need to talk." Yeon Hee pointed at the corner of the room, some distance away from the crowd of students in the class. She turned around and stare at him like an angry fox. "You're doomed." "What?" Han Sung blinked. "I said you're doomed!" Yeon Hee repeated her words sharply. "I was holding back from telling you this. But seeing a situation that doesn't seem normal between you two, I have to say it. How could you do this to her? I thought you noticed it." ['What's not normal? Who? Me and Ji An?'] Han Sung still blinked. He tried to remember what mistakes he did. "So far I've been paying attention and I'm pretty sure that in the end, you guys will ... but with everything you said ... ugh ... I can't believe this." ['Okay, this girl really confused me.'] "What are you talking about?" Han Sung sighed. "I don't have to say it," Yeon Hee snorted. "I don't know if you were pretending or just stupid for not realizing it, but I hope you will regret what you did." After that Yeon Hee left him. Han Sung massaged his temples. What was Yeon Hee really trying to say? He tried to digest every word of the girl earlier. Not realizing what? Why should he be sorry? Han Sung sighed again and went back to his plan to catch up with his friends who might be in the cafeteria, but Yeon Hee's words made him dizzy. He turned towards the stairs that led him to the roof of the school. He needs fresh air so that his brain can be a little relieved. But when he got to the top, his brain was not relieved but stopped. Even his heart seemed to stop for a moment. He could hear something cracking but didn't know where it was coming from. Does this the one that Yeon Hee meant 'too stupid to notice'? He think so. He just realized that what he had felt was not what his mouth was talking about. The heart that speaks truth. His mouth only dodged the truth that he didn't want to reveal. It shouldn't be like this. His heart can't be like this ... Han Sung gulped, stepping back slowly. His eyes trembled, even his entire body. This time he couldn't ignore the fact that his childhood friend was no longer paying attention to him. Because she already has others to care for ...
