The Mystery Guy!

Connors POV

This girl is stunning. She has literally turned my world upside down, I was thrilled when she started answering my texts. I can't tell her yet, I can't risk her never talking to me again.

Let me explain. My actual name is Connor not Ashley. I told her that so she couldn't go digging around the net, I'm a werewolf, infact I'm the most powerful Alpha of New York and I've fallen for a human girl, yes even after only a week with her, I know that she is the one.

Wolves are meant to have destined mates, although I haven't found mine yet and I'm 26, I don't believe I will. Most wolves find their mate on their 18th birthday. Wait. Maybe she is my mate! Maybe I was meant to be with a human girl.

She is so kind and generous. Beautiful at it's finest. Last month she spent her first night with me, in one of my many apartments, she was a bit skeptical, but who could blame her after her ordeal, I will never forget how scared she looked, how pale and afraid she looked, but at the same time didn't. She was willing to do what it took to save herself, she closed her eyes ready to give all she had.

I asked her to stay with me for that week, I'd spoken to her boss and made him give her a week off. It was going perfect until Caleria showed up.

She came wandering in like she owned the place, I asked her nicely to leave, but she spotted Rayne. My heart starting beating.

Caleria has been obsessed with me since we were little, our parents were best friends. She was adamant we were mates.

But before I get into that, before the she devil turned up, I was enjoying Rayne's company. She chose fifty shades, fine, until the s*x scene comes on, ugh, awkward! I had to excuse myself quickly because I couldn't control my thoughts around Rayne. If only I could do that stuff with her! Maybe one day I will, no, I'm praying one day I will! She found my exit highly amusing, if only she knew....

Back to the she wolf as I call her, she is obsessed with me. Whoever in my small circle told her about this apartment I will kill them! Caleria has the power of seduction and manipulation, she can get anyone to tell her anything, apart from me.

She started acting like we were a couple infront of Rayne, I saw the hurt in her eyes, but that's not the truth, I hate the girl.

She called Rayne a maid, I didn't think this kind, petite, stunning girl would actually give her a mouthful, but to my surprise she did, I couldn't help but internally laugh at her rant towards Caleria, she deserved it.

Then my heart broke into a million pieces, she went into the room she was staying in, got her belongings and left. NO!!!

I quickly get Caleria out the way with false promises, I'd promise my way out of anything at the moment just to find my princess. I grab my phone, keys, wallet and head to my car as quick as I could.

I call her phone, of course she ignores it. I start the engine ready to look for her.

I've looked everywhere, the one place I didn't look in was a little cafe. Poking my head in, I see her sitting in the far corner hoping no-one would see her. Sorry Princess.

I walk up to the table she's sitting at, she looks like she's been crying. My heart longs to touch her, to hug her!!

She looks up at me then tells me she has called a cab already. It'll be here in around 30 minutes. I have 30 minutes to convince her to stay, this is going to be harder than I thought.

"Hey Princess, about what just happened.. it's not how it seems, I promise you... she cuts me off with..

"I'm not interested in your explanations, just leave me alone".

Wow, I actually hadn't thought about how those words would affect me. They cut real deep.

I'm now torn on whether to fight for her or do what she asks.

After that the funniest thing happened, my wolf, Andre spoke up, we haven't communicated in a while because he shut himself off after I refused to go on the hunt for my mate. He's longing for that mate bond, he hasn't screamed mate at me whilst being with Rayne, I'm not sure whether that's because she doesn't have a wolf.

"Connor".. Andre said.

"This girl I think is your mate, but I cannot be certain because she doesn't have a wolf but I know how you feel about her, you have to fight for her, it's rare to have a human mate but not impossible, everyone else will understand. You're their Alpha. Don't lie to her anymore, you will lose her".

And just like that he goes back into darkness. I have alot to think about, all I know is that this woman is mine.

She's still sitting there back half turned away, trying not to cry.

"please Ashley just go, leave me alone".

But I couldn't move. No. I'm not letting her go.

Here goes now or never.

"Rayne, that girl was a nobody, she has had a crush on me since we were little, I've never ever gave her the impression that we would ever be more, she's obsessed with me, but I'm obsessed with somebody else... and that someone is you"

I didn't mean to blurt all that out, but it was literally now or never. I couldn't lose her! Not now, not ever!

She didn't say much, I don't think she believed me, I don't blame her after what she had witnessed back at my apartment, but I still tried.

"Rayne, I would still very much love if you'd cancel your cab and came back with me".

I awaited her reply. She didn't give one. The silent treatment great! She got up from her seat and headed to the door, she turned to me and nodded..

Baby steps.. i'll try explain more when she feels more comfortable with me. Today has been hard for her as it is.

Before we headed to the apartment, I took her to the mall for clothes, she flat out refused like I knew she would.

She didn't speak to me for that entire evening, she stayed in the room. When I headed to bed, I knocked on the door to say goodnight. What she said next cut me real deep.

"I really thought you liked me, I was wrong, She wouldn't of shown up if you didn't have no relationship with her, I thought you were different. I was literally letting myself get closer to you, but now I won't be."

My heart... I vowed to do whatever it took to win her trust back. I kissed her on the head and left the room.

If that fake barbie ruins this for me, I will ruin her!
