“Hi.” I gave her my best smile and relaxed my posture. “My car broke down just around the corner and you’re the first person to open the door.”
I was playing a game, her game. She had no idea that I knew everything and I wanted to keep it that way for as long as I could. I had the element of surprise and in that moment I knew that I would kill her.
Her mouth was open in shock, her eyes had slightly widened, but she recovered quickly when she realized that I had no idea who she was. “Hi…uhm…sorry, what do you need?”
