I started to feel ringing in my ears, and I saw everything as if through a steamy window pane. I felt as if I was deprived of my body. I turned around to see if I didn't happen to be lying lifeless in that hole. To my astonishment, I saw a body immersed in deep sleep which was lying in the same spot. That's right, in deep sleep.
