I ran as fast as I could, only stopping when I was sure no one was chasing me.
Leaning against a wall, I gasped for breath and wiped the blood from the corner of my mouth. Pulling out my phone from my pocket, I quickly dialed a video call.
"Mission complete."
Hearing my hoarse voice, Cedric chuckled on the other end.
"Congratulations on officially becoming a Vampire Slayer. What's wrong? You look like a mess on your first mission?"
I rolled my eyes and shot him a glare.
"You didn't tell me Raphael was such a powerhouse. I thought he only relied on his looks to seduce drunk women at bars. I underestimated him. Anyway, make sure my bounty gets transferred on time."
