Dana turned the lock on the front door, flipped the sign on the door so the ‘CLOSED’ side faced the exterior, and let out a long sigh. Her feet throbbed and her shoulders ached, but the day was almost over. She just had to closed out the till and put the money in the safe then she could head home. She had let Ari leave an hour earlier. Business was slow and they’d already cleaned up the kitchen, plus Ari had wanted to stop and check on her mom who was recovering from an illness. Now, Dana just wanted to get everything done and go home. She couldn’t help but be grateful that tomorrow was Sean’s day to open.
