CHAPTER FIVE I stretch beneath my duvet and groan loudly, luxuriating in not having to get up at the first hint of light. Yesterday was just so crazy, I feel the need to bunker down and process all the changes. It doesn’t seem like a Friday. Losing my job on a Thursday and then getting a new one that starts on Monday means I get an unplanned long weekend. Tugging my comfy protection higher around my neck, I roll onto my left side and bury my head into the pillow. Jack fired me.
