Gabriels P.O.V.
The celestial sky was a battlefield, an expanse of swirling light and shadow. My wings, a shimmering grey, beat furiously against the darkened sky, propelling me towards my brother, Zadkiel. His black wings cut through the heavens like a blade, his blonde hair whipping in the wind. The rage in his brown eyes matched my own; our conflict was ancient, born of envy and love, fueled by an unspoken rivalry.
"Zadkiel, this has to end!" I shouted over the roar of the storm that our fight had summoned.
His laughter was cold and mocking. "It ends when I say it ends, Gabriel."
We clashed in a blaze of energy, the impact sending shockwaves through the celestial realm. I felt the power of his fury, the strength of his desire to win. But I had my own resolve, and it burned with an intensity that matched his.
Our struggle seemed to last an eternity, each strike more desperate, each move more reckless. I could feel the weight of our battle tearing at the very fabric of the heavens. The sky rumbled, the clouds swirled, and lightning crackled in the distance.
Suddenly, with a mighty shove, Zadkiel sent me plummeting towards Earth. The wind roared in my ears as I fell, the world below rushing up to meet me. I tried to regain control, but the force of the fall was too great. I braced myself for impact, knowing that this descent would change everything.
The Arrival
The moment I broke through the clouds, a brilliant flash of light erupted around me. It was as if the heavens themselves were crying out, mourning the descent of one of their own. The surrounding air crackled with energy, and I felt a surge of power as I hurtled towards the ground.
I crashed into the Earth with a force that sent shockwaves rippling outwards. The impact shattered the windows of the nearby mansion and sent debris flying in all directions. The ground trembled beneath me, and I lay still for a moment, feeling the weight of my fall, the pain radiating through my body.
I pushed myself up slowly, shaking off the debris that clung to my wings. The rain poured down, mingling with the blood and sweat that streaked my skin. I looked around, trying to get my bearings. This was no ordinary place; it felt different, almost timeless.
Encounter
I heard a faint cry, a voice calling out. I turned towards the sound, my heart pounding. Through the haze of rain and smoke, I saw her. Alice. My heart stopped for a moment. Never in my immortal life had I seen any creature like her. So far beyond the definition of beauty, that I forgot all about my wounds and shattered wings. Her eyes, even though laced with fear, shone like the purest spring water, her ash-blonde hair dangling softly around her curvy body. She lit up every fiber of my being instantly. She was moving through the house, her face a mask of fear and determination. She was calling for someone, her voice trembling with anxiety.
Her eyes, wide with fear, as she appeared to be searching tirelessly for something. I stayed at a proper distance not to scare her more than she seemed to already be. But I knew instinctively that I had to follow her wherever she went. So I snuck quietly behind her, hiding myself behind every bush on the way to her destination. It was of the utmost importance that she didn't see me, it would only cause her further distress, especially because my wings were blood soaked and my toned abs had bruising and wounds. Nothing much for me, but for her, I expect it would be an unpleasant sight. So I kept following her in the shadows, to some building of sorts, completely abandoned and empty by the looks of it.
I watched as she frantically ran around the building, inside and then outside again, crying out for someone to answer her, but noon did. She stopped and stood still for a moment as her beautiful face turned pale, and she crashed on the ground. She hit the ground hard, her eyes fluttering shut as she lost consciousness.
I roared with bestial vigor as I rushed to her side. I felt this unexplainable urge to protect her whatever the cost. At that moment, I knew she was special. She ignited something inside of me that I had long given up on, that had no place among angelic beings such as myself. She was so pure, so innocent, so beautiful and irresistible. I felt myself being pulled into an internal whirlpool of emotions just by looking at her. Its strange how this little mortal creature could stir up an Angel's entire being, but she did. The pull I felt towards her was undeniable. Gently, I lifted her into my arms, shielding her from the rain with my wings. Her skin was cold, and I could feel the faint thud of her heartbeat against my chest. She was fragile, so vulnerable.
As I cradled her, I felt the weight of my responsibility. This mortal woman, caught in the midst of my celestial conflict, was now entwined with my brothers and my fate. I knew he would have felt my reaction to her. We were brothers born out of the same matter, intertwined as one, even though we were as different as night and day. But he felt her, because he felt my heart stop the second I layed eyes on her. I had to protect her, to keep her safe from the dangers that had followed me to this place.
I carried her back to the mansion, laying her down gently on a couch. The storm outside raged on, but inside, it was eerily quiet. I watched over her, my mind racing with thoughts of what was to come. Zadkiel would be coming for me, for her. But I would not let him harm her.
As she lay there, unconscious but safe for now, I vowed to protect Alice with every ounce of my being. The battle was far from over, and the stakes had never been higher. But at this moment, I knew that my purpose was clear: to shield this woman, to fight for her, and to find a way to resolve the conflict that had brought me here.
And so, in the quiet aftermath of the storm, I prepared for the trials that lay ahead, knowing that Alice's fate was now irrevocably linked with mine.
