JISOO'S POV
"Jen, what happened to you and Kai?" I asked Jennie while we are buying something for Christmas.
"It was a long story." Jennie murmured not really interested in this conversation.
She puts milk in our cart.
"Thank you for letting me celebrate my Christmas here, Jen." I told her while we are walking around the grocery.
Jennie looks at me and showed her gummy smile. "Jisoo, I want you to be happy this Christmas and also in this coming ... New Year." She said to me. Is she telling me that we will stay until New Year?
"Are we going to celebrate New Year here too??" I said happily.
"JIsoo, we are going to stay here. I mean if you want to." She told me and I hugged her because that makes me really happy and I wasn't expecting that.
"Thank you, Jendeukiiiie." I said while hugging her I don't know what made her exchange heart.
"Even though I want to go back I know you won't let me go back there alone so I decided to stay here with you and with Chaeng. I know how much you love each other and I can't be the reason why my best friend is going to miss her baby." She explained and pinches my cheeks.
My eyes are now going to cry "Okay, no crying at the grocery store!" she then poke me in the face and it made me laugh.
I know Jennie doesn't want to stay longer here I can't stop thinking about her and Lisa.
"Are you sure that you want to stay here, Jen?" I asked her making sure if her decision is already final but I am hoping that it is. I don't want to be away from Rosé.
She nodded at me and smiled. "Yes, I am. Don't worry about me, Unnie." she said assuring me.
We are already paying at the counter when I heard a girl calling my name.
"Jisoo!"
I look around my surrounding while Jennie is paying attention to the counter.
It was Megan.. oh and she's with Lisa. Lovely eh?
"H-hello." I greeted her and they are also going to our counter. I don't think this is good?
Jennie looks at us and she saw the two women going to our lane.
"Oh hi, Jennie." Megan greeted her.
"Hi there." Jennie greeted her politely.
I know there is something going on with these two ladies. Jennie isn't comfortable at all.
"I thought you guys are going back to Australia after the event?" Megan started a conversation.
"Ah, we decided to celebrate Christmas here." I was the one who answered her question.
"Actually, we decided to stay for good." Jennie blurted out.
I could see Megan's face wasn't that happy but Lisa's face tells a different story.
"At least, Rosé won't cry herself out again," Lisa said then laughs.
"Of course she won't. Not anymore." I told them and smirk.
"Are you guys going home after this?" Megan asked
"No, we are going to e-" I was cut off by Jennie.
"Yes, we are going home after this. We need to prepare some things." Jennie said. What?
I don't remember we are busy?
I faced Jennie because she promised me a while ago that we will eat and it is her treat.
"What are you talking about? How about my chicken?" I asked her discreetly.
"W-we can have it next time, Unnie." She said to me.
"Are you avoiding Lisa?" I asked her again.
"N-no!" she hissed.
I smirk at her. "Yes, you are," I said and tease her
The girl in the counter already done with our groceries, I gave my card to pay for it while Jennie and I are still talking through our eyes. You know, when best friends want to talk some things that they don't want to share with anyone they do this thing. You all know what I meant right?
Until Jennie sighed in defeat. "Alright." She said and carried the plastic bags.
"Jennie and I are not yet going home, we are both hungry are you guys joining us?" I asked the two girls while they are on the counter.
Lisa and Megan look at each other.
"I don't think we c—" Lisa was cut off by Megan.
"Sure thing!" Megan exclaimed and I saw how Lisa's look goes to 'what?'
LISA'S POV
We are all inside the restaurant and the waiter is placing our orders on our table.
"So what made you guys want to stay?" Megan breaks the silence.
While Jisoo looks really excited about the foods that are in front of her Jennie doesn't look comfortable at all.
"Well, I will miss Australia our family is already going back." Jennie started to answer the question while preparing herself to eat. "But what made us decided to stay for good is actually .. love." Wait did I heard it right? I shifted from my chair.
I look at Megan and she looks like she's thinking about something. This time I can't read what's inside her mind.
"Jisoo can't live without Rosé and I don't think it is good for this little creature to be far away from the love of her life." Jennie giggled and I gulped. I thought she was going to say something. God, I was assuming.
Jisoo was busy devouring her food but Megan seems to be pointing something else. Does she know?
"You are also staying because of that?" Megan asked again.
"Jennie and I can't live far away from each other, that's why." Jisoo interferes. She's still chewing her food.
"You are too curious," Jennie mumbled.
Megan drinks her water before she speaks. "Just curious." She answered. I was just like a potato sitting beside them.
Today Megan is extra clingy, she's even serving me food and all. There is something wrong here.
"I bet you are staying because of Kai." Megan started again.
"I am not staying for anyone, except Jisoo," Jennie answered her briefly. I know she doesn't like Megan that much. Well it is too obvious.
"Lisa baby can you hand me the napkin please," Megan asked me to give her the napkin so I did.
"There's a sauce in your lip." She said softly when I faced her. I was about to wipe it but she held my wrist then lick the side of my lip.
"That taste better." She said as soon as she's done. I gulped many times to what she just did.
"Wow." Jisoo mouthed while Jennie became more uncomfortable. How did I know? I mean she's my ex hello.
"I'll just go to the bathroom." Jennie excused herself.

I am already at home with Megan. She wants to sleep at my house tonight.
"Can I ask you?" I said to her while she's watching something on the television and her head is on my chest.
"sure." She said not really paying attention.
"You knew?" I said and she looks at me this time. She nods her head and her eyes were sad.
"For how long?" I asked again.
"Before I answer your questions, can I ask you one thing, Lisa?" she said and I gave her my permission.
"Should I feel threatened? I mean by your ex's presence." She asked me and the memory of Jennie and I kissing at the bar flashback into my head.
I don't really know what exactly I feel about Jennie. Our situation is different now.
"Should I?" she repeated her question.
"O-of c-course not," I answered her. Yes I know I lied. Am I?
"You accidentally moaned her name when we were making out," she said sadly while her head is bowed down. f**k.
"I'm sorry, I did not mean it at all." I held her hands.
"The way you describe the girl you loved before .. it all falls on Jennie. Back at the event the first time I saw her, you were so tense that night. I could tell that you are not happy with her date. You two almost got into a fight." She was there? She saw everything .. How can I acted like that, I wasn't thinking right at that time.
"I was back from the bathroom at that time. I was going to stop you guys but Jennie saw you two first and she stops you from vanishing the face of that man." She continued and chuckled but her tears are already flowing.
"You then walk away. So I tried to follow Jennie and Kai at the parking lot. I wanted to talk to Jennie but then Kai leaves. Jennie saw you at the parking lot. You were drinking. I could see your pain and I was also in pain seeing you like that. I'm so jealous. Really Jealous." Her last sentence made her more fragile.
I don't want to hurt Megan. She's always there for me, she made me feel that I can be me again. I hugged her but she said she's fine.
She then continues talking. "I really love you, Lisa. Please don't leave me." She's now begging. The sight of her being so fragile to the point that she's begging for me to stay made my heartbreak. I admit that I am confused right now. But I don't want to ruin Megan. I don't want to ruin someone again just because I am too weak to endure the pain. I won't do the same mistake I did.
"I'm not going anywhere," I told her sincerely. She smiled at me then kissed me. I could taste her tears.
"I love you." She said between our kiss.
"I love you too," I responded but I don't know if that is really what I still feel for her.
I hope I am doing the right thing.
JENNIE'S POV
I am sitting near the windows looking at the city lights. Letting my thoughts came out.
Is staying here is the right decision? I can't stand being in the same place as Lisa but I need to. This time I'll choose to stay than to walk away.
When I was on the plane I was thinking about different scenarios. From good to worst. I thought we could have another chance.
I am not the same Jennie six years ago.
I don't want my friends to suffer just because I am. I know I am doing the right thing. This time I'll stay even though it hurts.
"What are you thinking about?" Jisoo interrupted my thoughts. She's fully dressed.
"Where are you going? It is already late." I asked her.
"I'm going to Rosé's place, mom." She said teasing me.
"Megan is threatened." Jisoo blurted out. Threatened?
"Who cares?" I asked.
"And you are jealous and still affected." She added.
"You are talking gibberish," I said to her trying to avoid the topic.
"Just admit it." She started to tease me again.
"Why don't you go out with someone? Start dating! No one will take care of you if you get old." She said laughing.
"I can take care of myself. Stop with that dating thing. I don't think I want that." I said to her.
"Here's a thing mom, people don't really know what they want until they see it." Jisoo's vocabulary is expanding.
"Whatever you say, enjoy your date! Use condoms!" I yelled at her remembering how i***t she was when she thought she could make Rosé pregnant.
"No thanks! I'll make her pregnant this time!" she yelled back at me while laughing and exiting the room.
I laugh at her but then when her words strike me again it made me think.
