Maria awoke with a massive migraine and barely any recollection of how she made it to her room. The last thing she remembered was sitting at the bar and watching as Jacob fawned over the ugly girl behind the mask. And it wasn’t just him. All the guys that were there were so interested in everything Isabella as if she were the most important person in the world, that they failed to notice her. Especially Jake, who Maria had spent years trying to get to notice her as something more than a friend. Just thinking about that, made Maria angry all over again, and she suddenly wished she could drag Isabella to the roof and throw her off it. As Maria started to get up, her phone chimed indicating a text message. She looked towards her desk and saw her purse wide open with her phone half out. Sigh
