Chapter 20: Callahan's Plan

To say that I am mad is an understatement. I am fuming mad!
How could that brat do that?! Is she desperate?!
Yes, I wanted Roux so bad, but I won’t ask my dad to do that! I will make sure that he will be mine, without forcing him to marry me!
She is so annoying and she's really a certified brat!
I haven't seen her yet, but she has already gotten on my nerves!
I am mean, but I am not a spoiled brat!
“Don’t worry Princess, even if Alisha’s father suggested that to Roux’s parents, Roux himself politely declined the possible idea of marriage. And looking at Roux, I don't think he is someone who can be forced to do something that he is not comfortable to.,” Callahan said with a playful smile.
I swallowed hard. No..that is where he is wrong because I was able to force Roux to do things that he doesn't want because of our deal!
And what if there's that same situation when he has no choice but to say yes?!
"And he doesn't want a fixed marriage, he is not a fan."
And that made me breathe normally again.
I'll hold on to that.
“And by the way, I have followed them last night!” He added looking so proud of himself!
My eyes widen.
Wow, he is really good!
“And?!”
“I saw them went to Vozenilek's Ancestral House, I think Alisha is staying there for the meantime since they have no house here in Cali. I believe Roux rarely goes home to his parent's house because he has his own place, but last night I think he stayed there.” Callahan said slowly when he noticed how I am slowly panting because of anger.
The idea of Roux and Alisha staying in one place for a night really made me furious!
She's really using all the cards that she has just to be with Roux!
My hands turned to fists as my head started to work.
There are so many ideas running into my mind!
I need to do something!
“Hey..don’t worry too much!” Callahan smirked at me, and I glared at him.
Don't worry? Should I relax in this kind of situation then?!
I am trying so hard not to project my anger on him. But if he will keep on teasing me, then it is not my fault anymore!
Callahan raised his hands as if he is trying to tell me that he is not the enemy!
“What I meant is.." He started, he looks as if he is trying so hard to think of the right words to say that may not make me angrier! That's right..choose the right thing that you want to say! I wanted to tell him that but I decided to purse my lips.
"I know that Roux, only see Alisha as his younger sister! So there is nothing to worry about.” He tried to calm me.
“How do you say so?” I hissed.
“Because, I heard Alisha talking over the phone last night when I went to the men’s room, and she said that she will make sure, Roux will no longer treat her like a little sister-“
“B*tch!” I cut Callahan off.
Then I stood up.
“Where are you going?!” Callahan stood up as well, he looks surprised by my sudden action.
He looks like he is about to panic.
“I will hunt that b*tch out! And removed her from my way!” I said and started to walk away. I haven’t even taken a single step when Callahan pulled me back to him.
I almost knock my face on his chest!
“Wht the f*ck!” I almost screamed at him.
The other students are looking our way, maybe they thought that Callahan and I are fighting!
So I glared at them.
“Enjoying the free show?!” I asked as I made my eyes look big and tried to scare them!
They all looked away.
My mood is so sour that I am seeing red already!
“Hey..calm down..” Callahan tried so hard to calm me, but I am already trembling in anger. “Don’t worry I will help you.”
My head automatically raised, and I look through his eyes as slowly my lips parted.
“I will help you to remove Alisha on your way..” he said while looking sincerely into my eyes.
I swallowed hard as my breathing turned to normal.
He will help me? Why?
“I already have a plan, and if you will agree..you don’t have to move a finger..because I will do the dirty works.” He said in a serious voice.
Is he for real? He will really do that?
“What’s the catch?” I asked feeling doubtful. He wouldn’t do that for free and I am sure of that. He must need something from me..
Callahan shrugged and shook his head.
“Nothing.” He answered sincerely.
I shook my head and laughed.
“Come on, why will you do that if you will not gain anything?” I raised my eyebrow at him.
He nodded as if understanding what I am trying to say.
“Nothing.” He said. “You are my friend, and I am really a good friend.” He smirked at me.
Should I believe him? Is he really that nice to his friends or is he just trying to trap me or something?
I skeptically look at him, my arms are in front of my chest and my eyes are narrowed. I am trying to read what he is thinking.
But..he is just smiling, almost laughing at my distrust.
“Come on..I swear, I just want to help.” He chuckled.
But I just continued looking at him.
He raised his two hands.
“Fine.” He started. “I am bored, and I want to do something fun!” he winked at me.
I knew it.
“So do you want to hear my plan?” he asked as he raised an eyebrow at me.
I am smiling widely as I walked out of the garden. My sour mood is gone. Thanks to Callahan.
He is really..clever!
I love his idea! He might be playful and naughty but he is really good at plotting something, against someone!
I think he can pass as a master manipulator!
Who would have thought that behind his charming personality, he has a dark side!
Callahan stayed in the garden, he is that it is his free time so he will just rest there, so I just went to where Atticus is waiting.
“So, he is the only one who can give you that bright smile,” Atticus said when he saw me.
My eyes widen.
“It’s not what you think!”
“What am I thinking?” he challenged.
I rolled my eyes at him and started to walk.
“He is just my friend,” I said then stopped walking. I turned around to smirk at Atticus. “He is my partner.” I giggled.
“Partner?” his eyebrows furrowed.
“Partner in crime!” I said happily and now he looks confused.
“I am starting to get scared to whatever idea that is going into that pretty head of yours.” He shook his head as he walks towards me.
“Don’t worry..I won’t do something wrong..” I persuaded him. “Besides Callahan is there.. he will do the..plan!” I said while smiling evilly and all Atticus can do is to sigh.
"And that made me more worried because seems like he is trying to kiss that path that you are walking." He whispered but I just ignored him.
