SOPHIE'S POV: "I wanna go home." I said while crying. "Sophie, please stop," The boy told me. I shook my head. "Please....I wanna go home to my parents!" The lady in black with red lipstick came in. "Shut up! I am your mother now and your father will be home soon." The steps from her stiletto heels echoed through the abandoned house as she left our room. I tried to get away from the rope. Everything went dark and all I can see was the lady's red stiletto and the sound of a tight rope. "Sophie, let's go. We can go now." The boy pulled me out while he covered my eyes with his hand. "No!" The boy exclaimed. ~ I woke up with sweat all over me. I sighed. It's still haunting me even after 13 years. After fixing my bed, I took a bath. That was a memory when I was 6 years old. I got kidn*pped by a crazy lady. We went in an abandoned subdivision and an abandoned house. When we arrived there, a boy older than me was already there, his hands and legs were tied with rope. She treated us like her children, but tied with ropes so we won't escape. She would feed us porridge twice a day, saying his husband will come home any minute. We were there for 3 days. When she realized her husband abandoned her and is never coming back, she hung herself. That is how me and that boy escaped. But until now, I still can't remember his name. I got dressed and went down to eat breakfast. ~ After finishing my breakfast, one of our guards approached me. "Ms. Duval, Mr. Dawson is waiting outside. He said he's driving you to school." Wait what? What is he playing now. Before they left yesterday, he kept asking me how I did that and I never answered. Now he's driving me to school? I walked out the door and he honked. He went out of his car with a smirk, opening the passenger's seat door for me. "Get in." I gave him a warning look. "Are you actually taking me to school?" He nodded, "Of course, where else." Rolling my eyes, I went inside his car. He winked before closing the door and going to his side of the car. We drove to school. "What kind of show are you putting now Jey?" I buckled my seatbelt as he did with himself. We drove to school. "My mom called me so early in the morning to drive you to school," He paused a bit. "and it's Luke for you." I rose a brow, looking at him. "You barely know me but you let me call you that?" "Well, its not like I like you but you're my fiance now and we don't really have a choice." He even exaggerated the word my. "Fine, it's Luke then. But no one shall know about this. I don't want to be chased by harpies." He smirked, "You're a harpy yourself." I glared at him, he seemed to notice it. Luke gave me a shrug. "Could have fooled me, I guess." I rolled my eyes. We arrived at school. Luke went out and came to my side of the car. NO WAY! He opened the door for me. I mentally facepalmed. I just told him that I don't want anybody to know! All eyes were on us and I hate it. I am so gonna kill him. Luckily enough, Hanna and her friends aren't around. "Sophie!" Trisha came running to me but stopped her tracks as soon as she saw Luke. "Hey Jey." I approached her and hugged her. Luke walked up to me and whispered, "I'll see you during P.E. Our whole class has to assemble outside the gym. And tell Trisha it's Luke for her too." Trisha and I went separate ways with Luke because he went to the field first. Trisha dragged me inside the building and to our classroom. "Luke wants me to tell you that you should call him Luke too, not Jey." She rose a brow, "What's the difference?" "He told me people he doesn't like only calls him Jey, so mhmm." She nodded. "Oh yeah, since we have no classes except for P.E., why don't we just go straight there. Yeah?" I smiled, "Yeah." We went inside the girl's locker room and changed our uniform into volleyball shorts, fit t-shirt and rubber shoes. I tied my hair into a pony tail while Trisha threw her hair in a pig tail. As we were on our way to the P.E. gym, we saw a crowd just outside the gym's entrance door. I instantly knew that it's because of the Southchester students. I stood up with a tip toe and I was right. Southchester students, both male and female in a PE uniform. They are all very good looking, not gonna lie. Grabbing Trisha's hand, I tried to force our way in.  Someone called my name, "Sophie!" A hand wrapped around my waist caught me off guard, separating me from Trisha and pulling me out of the crowd. I looked up to see Keith. Great, another jerk. Trisha tried pulling me away from him but he shook her hand off mine. "Mind if I take Sophie?" He asked Trisha. He didn't even let her answer before pulling me off the crowd entirely. I looked back at Trisha but failed because of the crowd. "What the hell Keith?" I pushed him away but he didn't move. "Hey, what are you doing with that Southchester guy, huh?" I knuckled my hand, "None of your business." I shook his hand off my waist but only to be pulled by the wall. "It is my business, Sophie." I pushed him again, "You agreed that that one meal we had was nothing but a friendly one. So yes, it's none of your business" He pushed me hard to the locker, a loud bang sounded as my back hit the lockers. "Get off me!" "It's not just friendly to me, Soph. There were sparks." "Stop being delusional Keith." I pushed him again. "Why? Is it because of that Southchester guy? That's why I don't stand a chance?" He grabbed my left wrist a little too tight, I'm sure it drew a small bruise. Low pain tolerance. I almost hissed in pain. My skin is pretty sensitive. "Someday Sophie, I will prove to you that I am way better than that wimp and you will come crawling for my love." "He has nothing to do with this! Cut it out Keith." I snapped at him. He huffed, "You're protecting him now huh? So be it, his following days here will be nothing but hell." He left. I sighed in relief. I walked to find Trisha, and there I saw her with Tyler inside the gym. She's panicking. I overheard their conversation, "Where's Luke?" "Why, what's wrong?" Tyler stood up from the bench he was sitting. "It's Sophie, Keith grabbed her. She's in trouble." "Why, what's with Keith?" She shook her head, "Ugh! Just tell me where he is!" I sighed, showing my self to them, "Don't worry Trish, I'm fine." "Sophie! Are you okay? Are you hurt?" I hid my bruised arm, "Uh, yeah, I'm fine." Someone grabbed my bruised arm from the back, showing it to Trisha and Tyler. "Really? Is this fine? What happened to her?" I looked up to see Luke. "Where were you when we needed you?" Trisha exclaimed. "Just tell me what happened to her." He motioned to me. Trisha sighed, "There's this obsessive guy. He pushed me to the crowd and pulled Sophie with him. I tried looking for you but I can't find you. Damn Luke, look what he did to your fiance." My eyes went wide so as his. He pulled me with my other arm behind the benches. "Where did you go? I saw you entering the gym and I went to you that's why I was gone." "Like duh, I was pulled out." He grabbed my bruised wrist slowly. "I'm sorry." Did he just apologize? I pulled it away, "Don't worry, I wont tell both our parents." I was about to walk off but he pulled me back, "They left you to me. You're kinda my responsibility now." He slowly grabbed my bruised wrist again, "Come on, let's go get ice." I blushed as he held my hand and pulled me out. I looked over at him, sliding my hand away from his grasp. "Why did you agree to this marriage, Luke?" He hesitated, "My parents asked me to do it, I don't have a choice." Of course, what was I even expecting.
