He turned back around towards them with a straight face as he looked at his parents. "No, mom, she is not my wife," he said as he saw his mother and father's faces sink. She put a smile on her face to hide the sadness. "It's alright dear, I was only teasing you," she whispered. Xander knew she wanted to see him get married, but it wasn't time. He walked up to them with a smile on his face. "She is the newest member of our coven. She is the beginning of our coven's resurrection, the beginning of new life. She will lead us to newer heights," he said with confidence and passion as he turned to look at Helena. Her face turned bright red, realizing that he actually meant it. "Now then- come, Laura. I do believe we haven't played hide and seek in while," he said as he smiled. Laura perked up at hearing her brother say that. She grabbed his hand and tugged him along into the woods, leaving Helena alone with his parents. Helena looked up at his parents awkwardly, fidgeting with her necklace. She mentally cursed him and made a note to get back at him. "Uhm, hi. I'm Helena," she murmured. His mother smiled at her, motioning her to come closer to them. She slowly walked towards them, unsure of what to say. "So, how long have you been his fledgling?" Xander's father asked. "Only a few days. Uhm... He's a good person, your son. He has a good heart, he has good intentions in my opinion," she mumbled. She didn't think her face could turn red anymore than it already was, but it was heating up more. "How did he find you?" His mother chimed in on the interrogation. "I was running from someone... I've been kicked out of my home. So he found me while I was running. I'm guessing he knew something bad was going on. I actually am starting to think that if he hadn't bitten me, I'd be dead by now because I would've been caught. I had no idea where I was going," she rambled. They both laughed at her nervousness. "How are you liking it so far?" His father questioned. "Well, I mean, I don't mind it. Xander isn't the worst person I've lived with... H-He killed Liam, the one who... You know. I ran off and luckily he found me. Liam was hurting me. Xander stopped him... I don't mind living with Xander, I like it. He's really nice, and I like him. I mean, as a friend, not like that. Not that there's anything wrong with him in that way! I just don't... Ugh," she groaned. She couldn't believe what she had just said. She smacked her forehead and mentally cursed herself. His mother and father both laughed at her statement. "Oh my! Honey, I think she may have a thing for our son," his mother whispered into her husband's ear. He laughed loudly and nodded his head. "Take good care of our son, Helena. He has a lot of pain built up. I'm glad that bastard of a vampire died by our son's hands. He betrayed his own kind because he was afraid of us," his father muttered as he looked at his wife with sad eyes. They missed the most important parts of Xander's life, and they could now rest easy knowing that Liam had perished. Away from his parents, Xander ran through the woods trying to find Laura. Little did he know she had the upper hand because she was perching up in a tree. She jumped off the tree, knocking Xander to the ground with a loud thud. He hollered in laughter as he started to tickle Laura for doing that. "Why you little demon! Sneaking up on me like that!" He exclaimed. She hollered in laughter as she struggled to break free. "I know he does, as do I," Helena murmured as she listened to them laughing in the distance. She lifted her shirt slightly to show them her stomach. "It would've been worse, had he not arrived when he did," she stated. She looked at them, then at the ground. "You know, he talks about you all a lot. It honestly is good sometimes, to hear stories about you. I don't really have much to tell him about my parents. They disowned me, so I don't have any parents anymore. I'm a disgrace to them, or so they say," her voice cracked a bit as she spoke, but she shook her head. She looked back up at them and smiled. "He really is a good person. He knows more about me than anyone, and he says I remind him of Laura. It's a bit surprising, but I take it as a compliment. She's gorgeous. All of you are. I see where Xander gets it from," she said. She smiled and then blushed, realizing what she just said. His parents smiled at her. They already knew how Helena felt about their son. It would all but take a matter of time before they had this conversation themselves. Xander lifted his sister up and put her on his shoulders, walking back towards their parents and Helena. Laura, although undead, loved it when her brother would summon them. It would give them a chance to just be kids and have fun. Xander's parents smiled at the sight before them, seeing Xander carry Laura on his shoulders with a huge smile on his face. He set her down when he reached them, ruffling her hair a bit before looking at his parents, then at Helena. "What?" He asked as he saw that Helena's face was red and his parents were giving him a knowing look. His mother and father laughed wholeheartedly as they patted him on his shoulders. "Nothing, son. Just promise us to be a good man and keep our coven alive. You are the last of us. You're our salvation, my boy," his father said as he ruffled his already messed up hair. Helena looked down and backed up from them. She shook her head. "It's nothing, just enjoyed talking to your parents," she said nervously, smiling. She played with her necklace again as she looked up Xander, her eyes scanning over him. They rested on his smile, and she realized how happy he looked. She wanted him to know she trusted him, and wanted his family to know she would do everything she could to help and make them proud. She took her necklace off with shaky hands. "Here- this is a promise that I'll do whatever I can to help you and your family rebuild your coven," she whispered. She walked towards Xander and put the necklace on him. "As long as you do whatever you can to help me get Allison back, if she is still alive..." She trailed off. He grasped the necklace, staring at her with his eyes wide open. His face was a bright red as he cleared his throat, took off the necklace and placed it back in her hand, holding it. "You have my word, Helena, but I can't accept this necklace. Not until your friend is safe," he said with a smile. He was worried that if they didn't get to her in time, Helena would only have the necklace left. He let go of her and turned to look at his parents. They were all smiles. His father gave him a look that he didn't like at all, as it made him uncomfortable. He knew it was time. He sighed and grabbed the grimoire, starting to chant the words to undo the spell. "I'll see you all again real soon, I promise. Next time, I'll have something for you, Laura," he said with a smile, but sadness was evident in his voice. They went back into their graves and he turned to look at Helena. "Welcome to the family now, Helena. You've met everyone from the coven. Now, you said something about Lily?" He asked as he walked inside the house to see that she was awake. She got scared when she saw Xander, but didn't show her fear. Instead she looked him straight in the eyes. "So, what will you have me do?" She asked
