Everything started to click in his mind after hearing her say that.
So that's why she was lying in that position whenever she ran away the other day. She was hiding herself with her wings.
He walked towards her, turning her back around. He stared into her eyes, making sure she looked at him and could not turn away.
"Tell me, Helena, do you know where to find this person?" He asked her as he felt his blood begin to boil again.
However, this time, it wasn't at her, but at the man hunting her down. He may not like her right now, hell he may even hate her- but she was still a part of his coven now.
"If you tell me where to find him, I'll make sure he never bothers you ever again. This problem is not yours alone now. You're part of my coven, and as the leader of this coven, I'll be damned if I allow one of my members to be hunted down like a dog! That's not going to happen ever again," he growled.
He smirked a bit as he looked at her. He couldn't figure out what she was thinking but he felt her body stop shaking.
For the first time since she fell, Helena felt safe- protected, even. Even though she couldn't stand him, she knew Xander would not let her get hurt. She looked into his eyes, searching for any sign that he might be trying to get into her head. A sigh escaped her lips.
"No, Xander. Daniel could kill you in a heartbeat. If we do this, we are going to do this MY way. My best friend is still up there, she is locked up in a prison. We have to be careful or they could kill her. I want to free her, I miss her dearly. She was the only person who did not see me as a demonic, evil being who belongs in Hell. Granted, I probably do. However, I cannot just leave her there. I can't, and I won't- no matter what the cost, I need to get her back," she murmured.
Her eyes strayed away from his, tears welling up in her eyes, and she pulled away from his touch. She paced for a minute. As he released her, his eyes followed her as he nodded his head.
"You underestimate me greatly. You haven't seen everything that I can do. However, we shall do things your way. I will do whatever you need me to do. As far as this goes, you're in charge. However, I have one stipulation.. If things go bad, then we do it my way," he said as he fixed his jacket.
He saw her nod and a smile fell across her lips as she looked at him.
"Good. Now let's get back. We have plans to sort out," he murmured.
They walked back to the house, both of them on the lookout for any signs of trouble. When they entered they both heard the sobs of a girl crying. They looked at each other as if a light bulb went off in both of their heads.
"Helena, I do believe we have our way in. Let's go check on our prisoner," he said, a grin spreading across his face.
Helena got ready to go with him, but rethinking it, she shook her head and stepped back.
"Uhm, you go ahead," She whispered.
She knew if she went with him, she'd throw up when she looked at the bite on the human's neck. Guilt came over her when she remembered biting the girl and wanting more blood. She couldn't put herself through it, looking at the wound she inflicted upon the poor girl. She walked away from Xander and into her room. The thought of drinking the girl's blood again was enough to make her blood run ice cold. She shivered and closed her door.
"Never again... I'll find some other way to survive, but I can't just kill people," she muttered.
He turned around and noticed that she was gone already upon hearing her excuse herself. He heard her door close and figured she would not want to go with him.
"Must still be shaken up about earlier I guess," he said as he shrugged his shoulders.
He went down to the basement and saw the girl crying.
"Well look who's awake now," he muttered as his face grew stern.
The girl, upon seeing him, caught her breath. Daggers shot out of her eyes at him.
"You have a choice here. Become our spy or die here tonight," he said coldly as he drew his sword.
He wasn't going to play around now.
Upstairs, Helena looked around for a distraction. She decided to go get the radio and bring it into her room. She turned it up so she couldn't hear anything downstairs. She sang along while sorting through her clothes that Xander brought back with them. She folded them and slowly put them up, memories flooding through her head. As she bent over to put some in the bottom drawer, she felt the burning from the gashes on her stomach.
"Damn it," she hissed.
She went to the bathroom to take a look at them. Anger filled her veins as she looked at the damage Liam caused.
"I wish I could've killed him myself, but I'm grateful he's gone," she whispered.
She walked back into her room and laid down on her bed, still blaring the music.
Downstairs in the basement, the girl froze with fear as she saw his sword by her neck. She choked on her next words but managed to get them out.
"Alright, alright. You win! I'll be your spy. Just please don't kill me," she said sadly, her voice cold.
She sunk her head down. Xander, upon hearing that, moved his sword away, sheathing it and unlocking the chains that bound her.
"What is your name human?" He questioned.
The girl looked up, staring at Xander with disgust.
"Lily. My name is Lily," she muttered.
He nodded his head, turning to leave the basement.
"Very well, Lily. Follow me. It is time you formally meet my fledgling," he stated.
She got up and slowly followed him.
