His Rejected But Wanted Omega Mate

Lisanne's POV

“Stop it, Aunt Andrea.” I groaned as she pushed me into the dressing room to pick a dress for me. “I don't want to go to the mating ceremony.”

“You don't have a choice, young lady. I want to have my cousin look sexy and beautiful. Even if you don't find your mate, maybe high-ranked men would want to get together with you and you can be a rich mistress.” She said with a smirk on her face as she pulled off a red gown from the rack.

“Seriously, that is the only thing you can think of right now, aunt?” I asked with disbelief in my voice. Of course, I knew sometimes, an aunt can be extra but not to this extent.

“You know I only care about you, Lisanne. You can't end up with a poor man after everything this life has put you through. Now get in there and change. The mating ceremony starts in an hour and we have to be there.” She said before walking away.

Yes, I did want to meet my mate but is secretly hoped it would be my boss's son whom I had the wildest night with the previous night.

A sigh escaped my lips as I looked up dreamily. I never thought I would have a one-night stand with anyone but he was so hot and amazing, I couldn't help myself wanting to be his woman and I knew the only way was agreeing to the offer he proposed yesterday at the company's gala.

Ray wasn't just my boss's son, he was also the next in line for the alpha position, and at least that would give me leverage from being seen as a weak and good-for-nothing wolf to being his Luna. A smile spread across my lips as I slid into the dress.

I knew for sure he would be in the mating ceremony so I had to go. Having him on my side would also help in avenging the death of those in my parent's pack. It would be much easier to know whoever caused that m******e, wiping out our entire pack.

I walked out of the dressing room, staring right at myself in the mirror as I twirled with a bright smile. I looked beautiful and I knew everyone else would agree to that.

“Now that is what I'm talking about.” Aunt Andrea said with a smirk as she walked over to me, pulling me to the seat in front of the mirror she put a necklace around my neck. “I'm sure you will catch the eyes of even the soon-to-be alpha if you cooperate.”

That was my plan in the first place. I needed his power and his authority and I know he would give it to me to use. His words yesterday rang in my head again. “You are the best woman I've ever seen and I want you to be mine.” His words echoed in my head and I couldn't help but blush.

The cab that would be taking us to the mating ceremony arrived and my aunt ushered me into the car as quickly as she could. “Come on, we can't be late for anything at all.” She said, sitting right next to me as she gave the cab driver directions.

With her connections, she had managed to get us a floor with important people, and although none of them knew her but a rich woman whom she worked for, my aunt tried her best to go around and make relationships while she left me there to look for my wealthy mate.

My eyes roamed across the room but I couldn't find him anywhere. My heart sank a bit but I walked up to the drink table and picked up a glass of champagne before looking around.

“He must be here somewhere and should come around soon,” I whispered to myself.

Since it was the alpha hosting it, I'm sure he would be here soon. I leaned against one of the pillars and very soon, an intoxicating scent hit me. It filled my nostrils and I don't know if I was feeling high from the drink or if it was something else.

“Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the alpha and his son.” The host introduced and a bright smile appeared on my face as I looked down at Ray who walked up the stage with his father. I don't know why I felt so happy that he was here.

“I want to welcome every one of you to this ceremony. It is an honor to have you attend and meet the mate the moon goddess has given to you and I find it a privilege to give you all the ground and opportunity to do so.” The alpha said and the whole hall was filled with loud applause.

Suddenly, my eyes met with Ray's and I could tell he wasn't really happy to see me. My heart skipped a beat due to fear of what might be going through his mind but I gathered myself together and focused on the alpha's speech.

“Thank you all for attending. And I hope one lucky woman here becomes my daughter-in-law.” The alpha concluded and whispers filled the hall as they applauded him down the stage.

“Lisanne, this is your chance, go.” I heard my aunt whisper and I quickly went downstairs to join those in line hoping one of the men would be their fated mate.

Ray was also standing there and I had this bad feeling from the look on his face that he wasn't in a very great mood at all It wasn't good for me.

As we moved closer to each other, I realized the scent was coming from him. Excitement mixed with my fear as my wolf jumped around in excitement.

“How come I didn't notice this before.” She whispered before letting out a growl.

“Mate!” I was taken aback. He was my mate? As I was trying to process everything, he spoke up in a very cold tone.

“I reject you.”
