I was still on my way to school when my phone buzzed, and I saw Cassie text again.
“Oh, my god I can’t believe I forgot,” I gasped as I remembered I didn’t respond to her text last night. I opened the chat, the screen humming to life.
Cassie: So spill—how’s life with your almighty master?
I blushed so hard as I looked at the window of the vehicle. My reply was slow, fingers trembling over the keys.
Me: It’s...different. Kind of amazing. He’s strict but... he makes it feel safe. It’s weird, but–
