I pulled back in protest and shook my head.
For one, the water was probably freezing. For two, there was no two. Avalon Winters was not about to freeze her ass off for Mitch’s amusement.
“No”, I whined as Mitch’s strength began to over power mine, “I refuse to get into that horrid cryo-fest”
Mitch chuckled in response as he abruptly let me go causing me to fall on my back from pulling. I rose back up to see his back as he ran into the lake.
The picture of the moon’s reflection morphed as Mitch‘s body interrupted the lake’s current.
From afar, I could hear noises coming from Mitch, but I could not quite hear the words.
“What?!”, I yelled as I got up from the blanket and moved to the edge of the lake.
