Chapter 3

1006 Words
A flush of tears began to roll down Harry's cheeks as he gained back his consciousness, learning that some of his friends survived the crash. He would not deny the stinging pain of the cracked shards of glass slicing through the skin of his arms—he remembers the car accident, vividly, unfortunate for him. "Will, I can't... I can't feel my legs." "Where the hell are you? What can you see?" "It's... just black. Ugh, god, this place is horrid. I can only smell blood." Harry was trying to help himself sit down. William breathed out, although it probably would be less audible for Harry. "Hey, look. Don't move too much. Are your hands tied?" "Yes—what the f**k is happening, Will? I'm scared–" "Calm down, Harry, hey, listen to me! Can you hear me clearly?" William tried to help Harry down from panic. "I don't think you would, Harry, we're not in the same room. But calm down, alright? I'm seeing the same thing and I'm feeling the same thing." "Is everyone dead? Where are the others?" Harry questioned, which, although had made it obvious how he was sobbing, also had given William the thought that he was trying his best to stir away from panicking. Harry's head began to ache jarringly that it felt like his head is being torn apart. Harry could remember himself and Johann sitting by the left side of the car. Indeed, that happened—the left side, which was the first to land and get hurt upon the fall of their vehicle. "I'm alive. Mitch and Henry are alive. They also said they heard Johann's voice, but none of us are entirely sure if that was truly the case." William was worried. "Stay put. Maybe the others are alright. We just have to wait for help. Do you understand, Harry?" "I do..." Harry stuttered. As Harry responded with an easier tone, a voice that seemed to be closer than William's just suddenly traveled echoing through that room. "Why are you guys so noisy? Ugh." Although without a clear sight, Eugene forced himself to open his eyes and pull his arms apart to attemt to rid the ropes on his wrists. Eugene felt weary. "Eugene?" "Bro… where are we?" "I don't know. No one knows. I think someone locked us here," Harry replied hesitantly, trying to look through the darkness to find where Eugene was. Now that he knew of Eugene being alive inside the same area he was in, Harry calmed down a little bit. He thought he was alone upon waking up and began to panic with only the thought of William and the others being apart from him. He thought he was alone. Eugene let out a loud groan while enduring the pain of his arms and legs. It seems as if his face is numb—he could not tell if his eyes are properly opened or not. After all, everything around him was nearly pitch black. "June and David... Where are they? Where's David?" Eugene spoke in a stutter. It was natural, though, that he would instantly be asking about his best friend. David was closest to him. "I... I'm sorry," Harry answered. "I have no clue. I just woke up, same as you." Harry wondered of where in that place was Eugene located; Eugene sounded as if he was just across him. He was so close. William was really probably somewhere else—like a room next to theirs, given that William's voice sounded a lot more obscured earlier. Harry felt a litlle bit more relieved. Yet, as the place began to get occupied with echoing voices, a strident wail from a certain someone woke up Eugene and Harry's senses instantaneously. He cried, and cried, and cried. "Eugene, was that you, crying?" "No, I think..." Eugene began to recognize the voice. "I think it's Dominic." Harry tried his best to identify the person in that room with them. With the thought of their youngest member, Dominic, Harry could hear the almost deep yet youthful sound of his favorite 'younger brother'. "You're right. It's him." "Dominic, hey," Eugene shouted, forcing his dried throat to initiate conversation. "Dominic, that's you, right? Stop crying, it's alright." "Please... I don't want to die!" Dominic carried on with his loud weeping even upon the other two's attempt to calm him down. Dominic is a fifteen year old boy—Harry understood why his first response would be driven by terror. Harry himself was panicking when he woke up. The idea of Harry, Eugene and Dominic's existence in the other room gave William the idea that they all must have been separated into threes. William could slightly hear Dominic's cry. He was relieved. "Ah, they're alive. I can hear them... and they're alive." Mitch began to smile through the darkness. He smiled with the same thought; his friends are alive. He started to cry quietly, trying to wipe his tears, confused if he was happy or saddened. In that moment, Mitch could only wish that everybody is alright—if it was true that Johann initially yelled for help, then they must have been alive, as well. William tried to keep track of the situation; six of them are certainly alive now, located in rooms next to each other, separated in threes. All of them are unable to see clearly from the blinding darkness. Their wrists and legs are tied with thick ropes, and none of them could amass the strength to attempt the break-freeing from the ropes binding their bodies to limitation. William had to be assertive; they are involved in a car accident. Waking up in a hospital would normally be the case, but for the circumstances encountered by their working senses, the accident could be a fraud. William was certain that his entire group was abducted, all with the aid of the unforseen hustle of their vehicle on their way home that very last night he last saw himself sanest and full.
