Chapter 5

"After a minute or two, you would all certainly be awake," the woman gushed, tying the rope tightly. "It took me almost two weeks—I've been waiting for this to happen. The injection worked perfectly the first time, and I am sure you will just be as weak as baby birds. surely you'll all be weak. Perfection! How exciting, the show would be." The giggling noises carried on as it echoed from corner to corner of that huge room; she would prefer to call it a hall, a stage and anything of sort. She took another grip on the deathly-sharp scissors that were lying cold on the still floor, picking it up to initiate another snipping sound. She cut the rope in the very same pattern she has done, quite a few moments ago. The red tint on her lips made her smile shimmer under the spotlight. "Oh, beautiful." The calm of her voice resembled that of a humming lass. She took a few steps backward and watched her creation in front of her dilating eyes. "Oh, my poor boys. You have been resting for two days yet I'm afraid it won't be enough for the eleven of you to finally understand the mechanics. Well, we would have to advance one way or another. Now, all we need is the remote control and the test subject." She raised her head and turned around as if she was trying to find something. She grazed her fingers through a boy's hair. "I will come back after a few minutes, William. Everything's going to be perfect," she whispered slowly to the boy's ears, kissing then his forehead gently right before walking out the room in a frickle grin. No one could hear her chuckling and everything she mumbled over her passed preparation. However, she sounded like a little girl, nothing but excited about finally opening her birthday presents. Too bad, Johann opened his eyes the moment she snapped the door loudly. Johann raised his head and let out a loud groan. "Ugh, what happened?" He woke up and raised his head to look around everything. Although he wasn't feeling too well, Johann breathed out and prayed, for he was currently feeling much better than how he did the last time he was awake. "Dude," Eugene gasped the moment his eyes caught Johann. "Hey, what's happening?" One by one, the boys began to gain consciousness, unprepared for whatever would come before their demented perception. It's as though Mitch could not remember the smoke that suddenly put him to sleep the last time. He felt like the situation was then brand new again for him—he was not living as the singer he used to be. "What? What's this? Where are we?" Mitch looked around, gazing at his surroundings. That's when it finally hit him; he was sitting on a chair, hands and feet tied firmly within the chair's legs. He raised his head in confusion, looking around the huge room, the light almost only in the center. As usual, he could not move freely, but he didn't feel as hurt as he was the last time he was conscious. He saw his fellow group members opening their eyes. "Help me! Will! Help!" "June, I can't. I don't know what to do!" William worriedly gushed, but his eyes were surprised to see June beside him. "I'm so glad you're alive. Where is everyone?" He asked before he tried to pull himself up. However, he can't do it no matter how hard he tries. The rope was tightly wrapped around his hands and legs. He raised his head and tried to see through his left—and then he saw everyone in the same situation as him, tied, sitting on chairs that were put one after another in a straight line. They are complete once more; XYZ, a popular musical band with eleven talented and conventionally attractive members, was then reunited. William's eyes instantly became teary when he saw all the other members sitting on a chair, tied, but breathing and alive. They're wearing the same kind of outfits—a uniform that seems to imitate their Idol Island outfits—and their bodies all clean. Their wounds from the car accident seemed to still be visible. He wondered if someone dressed and at least cured them, but he couldn't think of anyone except for that girl the last time. He remembered the smoke knocking out his remaining consciousness. "My head hurts," David complained as he slowly moved his chin up. Sam glanced at the sleeping guy beside him. "Henry... Henry, wake up!" The exchange of whines and imperceptible noises that came from the boys filled the room immediately. They were scared—or traumatic, desperately screaming for help. "Everyone, calm down. Calm down, do as I say." In an attempt to fix the chaos that has presented itself upfront, XYZ's leader, Sebastian, finally rushed back to his senses and calmed himself down though he was undeniably just as frightened as everyone else. "Kids, calm down. First things first, is anyone missing? Are we all here?" The worry in Sebastian's voice was audible; his shaking tone was at least able to send his group members back to realizing the situation. "Sebastian, our dear leader... There is no need for such worry." However, they were all forced to come to a deafening silence when the feminine voice slithered in to the on-going noise. It was her! The girl... from last time. Sebastian's eyes widened. His lips were pulled together close and the sweat rolled down from his forehead, tension eating almost his entire figure. There was nothing that his eyes could focus on, his ears could listen to and his mind could think about than the lady waling before them slow. All of a sudden, the boys of XYZ found their hearts beating rapidly, as the mingling of curiosity and nervousness climbed up their bodies, bone to the tip of their body hairs. "You will all be here, no more and no less. There is no need to go... yet," the voice spoke once more, tone touched with a pinch of excitement, laughing swiftly following her words of horror.
