It wasn't as bad as before—their rooms, when it was still as dark as a blackout. Johann would rather call it a prisoner's cell. To finally eat real food is like a dream come true for each one of them. At least that time, Johann could only think about food; he ate with Sebastian and June like desperate beggars, for their ravenous stomachs couldn't ache more. "I can't even believe that she gave us food and let us eat with our hands," June mentioned before he stuffed his mouth with rice.
"You call this food?" Even though Johann was quite weak, he still had the intuition to be sarcastic. "Potato soup and rice—I mean, this could be the sign that XYZ has reached rock bottom."
"How dare you say that, Johann?" Sebastian, on the other hand, eyed Johann with a momentous expression. "You are the face of this group. You are the center. People believe in you the most, yet you're concluding that we can't go back to our normal lives. We can find a way to get out of here. Get your mouth fixed."
"How are we supposed to do that?"
"There are eleven of us facing a single delusional girl. There's no way she can keep us like this all throughout her stupid game."
"But how do we even deal with her?" Johann dropped his spoon above his empty bowl and stared at Sebastian's eyes. "Seb, she killed somebody in front of us! That woman has a gun, and probably knives. She’s not just any fan. Even these prison cells—how can a simple girl own such a place? Do you think we can find a way? Look at our situation." Johann looked at him with disappointment. "Look at the blades wrapped around our necks. This room smells like a slaughter area. Now, look at us being weak, unable to even pick up our spoons and forks properly. Can’t you imagine the situation we are in? That girl… is a murderer!"
June dropped his bowl of food before he teared up unstoppingly.
Johann squirmed off from Sebastian's vision. "We're basically that girl's puppets, Seb."
The older person could not utter anything about what Johann had just stated. It was obvious how despondent and grieved Johann was, and the worst part is that his point made so much sense.
Sebastian looked down and breathed out, trying his best to hold back his sad tears from falling down again. He had cried so much, his eyes were already swollen.
"I'm well pleased to know that you perceived it smartly, Johann." As they were beginning to grow resentful, the sound of the delusional fan came to the audible world. "You should be thankful that I let the lights on and detached all of the ropes around your wrists. Feel free to do anything you want as long as you can do it. This place has no cameras, so you can act like boys all you want."
June avoided the sight of the girl standing in front of the room.
“Do you need anything else? A tissue box, perhaps?”
“Water…” June forced himself to talk even though he could not stop crying.
"Okay, but make sure to eat up. I want you all to be lively and zestful. You guys will need the energy for our show's first evaluation," she announced with an enthusiastic tone. June's hands were wrapped around his spoon, showing his anger although he was almost as weak as a boneless creature. The first evaluation? She's really out of her mind.
