Chapter Thirty-One Margaret turned this way and then the other. “What do you think? Is it appropriate? Is it all right?” The duchess smiled at her indulgently. “You look lovely, my dear. Lord Bertram will no doubt be honored to have you next to him.” Margaret took in a deep breath, trying to calm her nerves. She had never gone out for a drive with a young man on her own before. She’d never been asked.
