Chapter Ten ~April 8~ James knocked on the library door, hoping he would find Lady Margaret there. He knew the duchess was out at her Whist Society meeting, and he was all set to start her painting; he just needed his subject. There was no answer, however. He slowly opened the door and, indeed, found the room empty. He worried for a moment that she had gone out, in which case, he would have to wait another week before he could get started.
