EIRA
When I opened my eyes finally my body ached in places I wasn’t even sure were humanly possible.
I had no idea how I even got here eventually, but I knew this was where I was meant to be. No alarm bells went off in my head… Am I even making a complete sense, I don’t know at this point, I must be delirious.
“What sort of meds did you give me Asha my brain is a f*****g mess”
“You almost got yourself killed again” Asha said matter of fact
“Relax I’m here aren’t i?”
“Duma nax.Danga xalaat ni sa dund bi dafa nax?”… I always trailed o whenever Asha began to speak in her native tongue. I didn’t understand it but there was one thing I do know was that whenever she spoke in her native tongue she meant business.
Asha was African. She had beautiful brown skin that reminded me of the color of freshly ground coffee beans, or was I fresh honey? Whichever one it was magnificent. Her thick curls were tied back in a cloth as usual. Asha was a healer, and not just the kind who was taught the skill, Asha was a healer by birth, it was ebbed into her soul.
Too bad that she had to suffer through the fate she did. Her parents had dumped her in the Crestbridge Pack when she was but a little baby. She did’ even know who they were and she was cast out to become a rogue not because of a fault of hers but because of the color of her skin.
Too bad they lost a rare talent, and I had gained a friend, the only person close enough for me to call family again.
“I am sorry Asha but it wasn’t my fault that sly fox tried to f*****g double cross me. Brought a little band of dogs and doused their claws in wolf’s bane with him said it was time for me to go” I replied
“f*****g maggot I hope he got it worse?” she asked and I smirked “It’ll be a f*****g miracle from the moon goddess if he ever walks again”
“But seriously Eira I you need to be, ore careful. A little later and the wolf’s bane would have killed you. Your wolf is docile so you’d have it worse” she said and I rolled my eyes. I didn’t lie to be reminded about my wolf. One day the b***h just vanished no trace, nada I can’t even feel her in my consciousness, but I was strong either ways, a wolf didn’t define me.
“Relax Asha, the moon goddess won’t f*****g let me die. She’s too cruel for that” I replied with conviction. I should know that better than anyone. There was a period in my life when I thought about was to f*****g die.
That was when I was at my lowest point. I had just lost my wolf and my will to live. I tried everything, I hurt but whenever I was just about to cross to the other side, I was yanked back to the world like I was living some sort of cruel fate over and over again with no escape.
And that’s when I met Asha and the others. They were a pack of rogues and even though I wasn’t interested in being part of an organized group anymore they never turned me out. I was a member of their family in every manner but though the blood oath. Finding Asha and later becoming a part of the Neutral Intelligence Alliance was the one good thing that the moon goddess had ever done for me and I hated the b***h but I could be grateful when I needed to.
There was a sudden shift in aura and it could only be one person. “Commander Norman” Asha bowed her heads slightly.
“Leave us” he said and Asha bowed her head and left.
“What happened?” he asked and I raised my brows
“What do you think happened” I replied. Cheeky I know but then again, he couldn’t do without me, I hoped so cause Norman was one unpredictable bastard. He simply arched his eyebrow at me.
“Ok I was ambushed. I don’t know I didn’t f*****g realize that there were others I just-“
Commander Norman nodded “I understand you’re safe that’s all that matters and from what I know you f****d him up really badly” he said and I smirked “I did”.
“What exactly do you want Commander. No offense but I know that you didn’t come just to check up on me. I’m not dead, and that’s pretty much enough for you” I said. Commander Norman took a deep breath, uh oh, that wasn’t a good sign.
“The Dark Fang Pack has been sniffing around, they want you” he said and I scoffed “damn assholes wouldn’t get me even if they tried” I replied. They wouldn’t get me I made sure of that, their foolish beta only knew the basics the masked rogue, top spy and information exchange of the Neutral Intelligence Network blah, blah you know the basics.
“That’s beside the point. The reason I’m here is because The Shine Morrow Pack, they are willing to pay 500 denning for you to infiltrate the Dark Fang Pack” he said and I whistled “damn they’re not wasting any time are they?” I asked. In the war, the Dark Fang Pack was the strongest of the five warring packs, going against them without either conquering the smaller packs or forming alliances was basically suicide. “Are you up for it?” He asked and I smirked “yeah I am it’s time the Dark Fang Pack paid for all their sins” I replied “this will be extremely dangerous?” Commander Norman said.
“Are you sending me on a mission or trying to discourage me?”
“All I’m saying is that this is important, do not be blinded by revenge or you’ll get sloppy” he said and I nodded “I know what I am doing” I replied. f**k being blinded this was my chance, I will slither into that f*****g pack and ruin them so bad that they won’t f*****g know what it them. The moon goddess was a b***h but she did have perfect timing. I would have my revenge and what better time than now?
“How are you going to get in then?” Commander Norman asked
“Well this stupid rogue is about to get captured”.
