Evie's POV The silence in Tristan’s car felt heavier than a Zamboni, pressing down on my chest the entire ride home. It was a humiliation ritual, just for me. My cheeks still burned. Not just from the fight at the clinic, but from Wendy. From the fact that she’d asked Tristan if he was my boyfriend. Right in front of him.
