we made through the other side of the wall , we and other civilians only a few but unfortunately the commander ordered them to be shot. We immediately jumped out of the car backs and made our way through the area.
the other big trucks made their way to the other side of the wall where they do science experiments. The rich were confused seeing the low class army trucks land soldiers at the emergency hall.
“ hey what are these people doing here?," one of the rich men asked the commander
“ it's for your safety trust me,“ the commander said loading things off the truck .
“ what do you mean our safety , are those ugly creatures out here again," she asked
“ lady please get back from the truck, u are safe we made sure of it," he ordered
“ so those things broke loose and attacked people?,“ she asked
“ nothing broke loose everything is fine, just go to your house and enjoy tea," he said .
“ look I am not stupid, just tell us the truth already," the man said
“ even if those creatures broke loose and attacked, where do u think you would run to , exactly nowhere, now would you please get off our site,", he strictly instructed , giving the old man and lady creeps .
we have to get out of here," crystal ordered
We walked away from the hall , walking towards the people's neighborhoods, towards the very end houses that were close to the end wall. I was surprised to see how fast things changed
we approached a mansion of a rich old man, cautiously scanning the surroundings. The opulent gates loom before us.
(whispering) Are you sure this is a good idea, Crystal? We're not supposed to be here," I said.
Crystal:(determined) We don’t have a choice, Zeir. The hunter tacs will find us if we stay out here. Besides, I've heard this old man has a heart. He might help us.
(nervous) Alright, let's do this," I said
We reached the front door and Crystal knocked. After a moment, an old man appeared, his eyes narrowing as he saw us.
Old Man:(gruffly) What are you two doing here? You know outsiders aren't allowed in this neighborhood.
Crystal: (pleading) Please, sir. We need your help. The hunter tacs are coming, and we have nowhere else to go.
Old Man: (suspicious) Why should I risk my safety for you?
(stepping forward) Because I've faced those creatures before. I know how dangerous they are. If we don't find shelter, we'll die. And if you turn us away, they might find you next," I said.
The old man studied my determined face, then sighed.
Old Man: (softening) Alright, come in quickly. But if anyone finds out you're here, you're on your own.
Crystal: (relieved) Thank you, sir. We won't be a burden, I promise.
(nodding) We just need a place to hide until it's safe," I said.
Old Man:(opening the door wider) Then let's get you inside before anyone sees you.
Inside the mansion, the old man led us to a cozy dining room. We sat at the table, and he brought out some bread and soup.
Old Man: (serving food) Eat. You look like you haven't had a decent meal in days.
(taking a bite, then looking serious) Thank you, sir. But you need to know—nowhere is safe. The hunter tacs kill everything in their path. They're evolving, becoming bigger, stronger. The only way to survive is to keep moving, to chase the sun," I said
Old Man: (dismissively) Nonsense. We’re safe here. This neighborhood is well-protected. Those monsters can’t get in.
Crystal:(worried) But, sir, what if Zeir is right? We’ve seen what they can do, they got in through the first wall
Old Man: (shaking his head) I've lived here for a while and still good, nothing has breached these walls. You'll be safe here for now. Just eat and rest.
(insistent) You can’t ignore this. They’ll find a way in, sooner or later," I said
Old Man: (firmly) We'll cross that bridge when we come to it. For now, you’re under my roof and my protection. Eat.
crystal and I exchanged glances but continue eating, knowing we have no other choice for now.
while we were resting in the old man's mansion. a nosy neighbor, Mrs. Henson—often referred to as a "Karen" for her meddlesome nature—had been watching the house closely.**
Mrs. Henson: (muttering to herself) Something's not right. I’ve seen strange people coming and going from his place. I need to check this out.
She marched up to the old man's door and knocks loudly. The old man answered, looking irritated.
Old Man:(curtly) Mrs. Henson, what can I do for you?
Mrs. Henson:(peering over his shoulder) I’ve noticed some unusual activity here. Strangers. I want to know who they are and what they're doing here.
Old Man: (defensive) That's none of your business. My guests are my concern, not yours.
Mrs. Henson:(suspicious) In times like these, it’s everyone’s business. If you’re hiding something, I’ll find out. Mark my words.
Old Man:(firmly) There’s nothing for you to find, Mrs. Henson. Now, if you’ll excuse me.
He closed the door on her, but she was not satisfied. Mrs. Henson glared at the house before turning and walking away.
---
Later that day, Mrs. Henson contacted the police, determined to report her suspicions.
secretary general:(on the phone) This is the police. How can I help you?
Mrs. Henson:(urgently) I want to report suspicious activity at my neighbor's house. I believe he’s harboring some refuge's from the first wall the refugees .
secretary general: (taking notes) Can you provide the address and any details?
Mrs. Henson:(smugly) Absolutely. It’s the large mansion on the corner of Maple and Elm. I saw two young people, not from around here, entering his house.
secretary general:(calmly) Thank you for the information. We’ll send someone to check it out.
Mrs. Henson: (satisfied) I’m just doing my civic duty. You can count on me to keep an eye out.
She hanged up, feeling a sense of accomplishment.
Back at the old man’s mansion, we remained unaware of the impending danger
(walking into the living room) We need to be careful. My nosy neighbor was sniffing around earlier," he said
(frowning) We can’t stay here much longer. We need to move before they come for us," crystal said
(nodding) We’ll figure something out. We have to," I said
The tension in the room thickens as we prepared for the next step, unaware that the police were already on their way.
