Chapter 10Dallas was…Dallas. The General Manager JuliAnn had hired was a Hispanic woman of about thirty-five, named Sonya Neavez. She was the same height as me and we seemed to get along quite well. When I came out to her, she had no problems with it at all. She told me that Dallas was a big leather town, with several bars, which mostly had male clientele. She said she’d heard there was a big American Leather Club Chapter here in Dallas, but she didn’t know where it met. I’d have to look through the gay newspapers or check out the several gay and lesbian bars in the Oak Lawn neighborhood. We got all the ads placed and held the interviews the following week.
