Paris:
When tomorrow comes
I'll be on my own
Feeling frightened of
The things that I don't know
When tomorrow comes
Tomorrow comes
Tomorrow comes
And though the road is long
I look up to the sky
And in the dark I found,
I lost hope that I won't fly
And I sing along, I sing along
And I sing along
I got all I need when I got you and I
I look around me, and see a sweet life
I'm stuck in the dark but you're my flashlight
You're getting me, getting me through the night
Kick start my heart when you shine it in my eyes
Can't lie, it's a sweet life
I'm stuck in the dark but you're my flashlight
You're getting me, getting me through the night
'Cause you're my flashlight (flashlight)
You're my flashlight (flashlight)
You're my flashlight
I see the shadows long beneath the mountain top
I'm not afraid when the rain won't stop
'Cause you light the way
You light the way, you light the way
I got all I need when I got you and I
I look around me, and see a sweet life
I'm stuck in the dark but you're my flashlight
You're getting me, getting me through the night
Kick start my heart when you shine it in my eyes
I can't lie, it's a sweet life
I'm stuck in the dark but you're my flashlight
You're getting me, getting me through the night
(Light light light you're my flashlight, light, light)
Light light you're my flashlight
Light light light light light, oh
(Light light light you're my flashlight, light, light)
You're my flash, oh
I got all I need when I got you and I
I look around me, and see a sweet life
I'm stuck in the dark but you're my flashlight
You're getting me, getting me through the night
Can't stop my heart when you shinin' in my eyes
I can't lie, it's a sweet life
I'm stuck in the dark but you're my flashlight
(You're my flashlight)
You're getting me, getting me through the night
'Cause you're my flashlight
'Cause you're my flashlight
You're my flashlight
You're my flashlight
Light light
You're my flashlight
Light light ye-yeah
You're my flashlight
"Alright, well done, Paris." Mr. Easton applauding and smiles at me. "Okay so for this year we are not only performing classic songs but since we got this one with killer voice so we will have show choir classic concert."
"So we all will sing backup for her?" A girl frown.
"If you can sing very well like that, you can switch with her." Mr. Easton says to her.
"Maybe all of us can switch parts? There are ten songs and I'm pretty sure I can't sing all of those songs alone. My dad is a glee club teacher and I'm also in glee club and in few weeks I will face Nationals in Chicago so I can help with vocal coach." I raise my hand.
"That's a good idea. Alright, everyone take five. We will discuss about the part after this." Mr. Easton says to us and walks away.
I smile and sit down on the edge of the stage and take my bottle then sip my water. I close my eyes and trying to remember all the notes of the piano that I should play.
"Hi.."
I open my eyes and smile to a guy who sits down next to me. "Hi.." I smile back at him.
"I can say that you are amazing. I bet you came from the best music school saying Los Angeles?" He chuckles.
"I'm actually from Ohio, Lima exactly. And no, I didn't enter music school. I'm entering a public school. I'm a junior." I giggle.
"You're a junior? The rest of us here are senior and we signed up because we need those scholarships." He laughs. "I'm Dylan anyway." He smiles at me and shows me his hand.
"I'm Paris." I smile back at him and shake his hand.
"Beautiful name like the person." He smiles at me.
"Thank you." I giggle. "So where do you come from?" I ask him.
"I'm from Springfield." He said to me.
"Ah The Simpsons." I laugh. "I'm sorry, I'm such a weirdo." I laugh.
"That's okay." He giggles.
"Alright, everyone. I got these music sheets in my hand so we will switch parts. There are ten songs with twenty persons so two person will sing one song in pair. All of you got to be in the spotlight." Mr. Easton says to us and give us music sheets. "I already wrote down your name in that music sheet and your partner."
I turn my face to Dylan as I got partner up with him. I don't know if this dude can sing or not and we will sing Don't Stop Believing by Journey. I mean I lived this song.
"The challenge is that you have to sing this song full orchestra because our theme is classic orchestra. And as our closing, we all will perform Bohemian Rhapsody by Quinn but no sing voice only full music orchestra. I will divided which one who will get to play the piano, violin, cello, and the others. All clear? Now let's start rehearsal from the top!" Mr. Easton smiles at us.
I smile and hold my music sheets. It's glad to be in New York with these talented people. Dad might be bored waiting for me to have rehearsal while he is staying in the hotel alone but I'm happy to be here.

*Sam's POV*
I frown and walk into the choir room as the others are sitting down and chitchatting at each other. "What are you guys doing? Mr. Schue is out of the week." I said to them.
"What? How? Nationals is coming over. He can't leave." Rachel shakes her head.
"He went to New York for a week. Paris has a concert at Carnegie Hall." I said to them.
"I can't believe that Mr. Schue took a week off for watching concert with his daughter? What about my future?" Rachel protest.
"It's not watching concert. But Paris has her own concert." Blaine says to them.
"You knew?" I frown at Blaine.
"She told me to be her consultant and apparently I also signed up to that concert but they even didn't accept my application letter so yeah." Blaine says to me.
"What concert?" Mercedes asks.
"Beethoven concert I guess." I raise my eyebrows.
"Classic orchestra concert at Carnegie Hall in New York. This concert held by the biggest music organization in the world. They always opened audition around US and UK and this year they only took twenty of them and our friend is one of them. Once you perform in this concert then your life is set because of the scholarship offer. You can pick to study in these best ten music university around the world such as The Juilliard School, Berklee College of Music, USC Thornton School of Music, New England Conservatory of Music, Yale School of Music, Curtis Institute of Music, The Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music and so on." Blaine says to them.
"How could you know that?" Kurt asks Blaine.
"Because I want that The Juilliard scholarship and I love classic music." Blaine says to Kurt.
"I don't get it why she never tell us." Mercedes frowns.
"Because she was scared if she wouldn't get in, it will be embarrassing. So she'd rather to keep it shut until the big day." I said to them.
"She is one year away from graduation but she is already have a bright future and I'm not." Finn says innocently.
"So Berry, when we get to see you making your own concert since you are a star?" Santana grins at Rachel.
"You know a star never define herself as a star but she is already brighter than anyone else without none telling it because people already can recognize it." Tina smiles.
"Seems like Mr. Schuester will put his daughter to have solo on Nationals because she is a real star." Santana smirks at Rachel.
"No. She can't take the solos away from me." Rachel shakes her head and walks out from the choir room.
I shrug and raise my eyebrows. "What would you do that?" Finn frowns at Santana.
"To make her realize that in this choir room is not all about her and she is not the star." Santana glares at Finn.
Finn simply walks away. Santana is actually right. In this choir room it's like everything is about Rachel and Finn. But from now on, I'd guarantee that my girlfriend is the real star. Well, she is the only one of us who make it into Carnegie Hall and have her own concert.
I know it's kinda hard to be Paris's boyfriend. She is super smart, super beautiful, and super talented, and people said that she is a loser but she is actually the opposite one. And I'm just the boy next door. But I'm actually proud that I can have her heart.

*Paris's POV*
I'm sitting down on my bed in the hotel and looking at my phone. I'm texting with Sam right now and I'm tired from the rehearsal today so I'm relaxing now.
"Don't Stop Believing?" Dad asks me while reading the music sheet.
"Yes. I lived that song but that guy who will be my duet partner doesn't know that song." I said to dad.
"You can teach him to do vocal coach." Dad says to me.
"And the hardest thing that we have to turn this song into classic orchestra." I said to him and hug my pillow.
"Well let's find some video that shows something like that." Dad says and take the iPad from the coffee table then sits down next to me. "Ah this one is good."
"They seems cool." I nod while watching the video.
Dad hands the iPad to me then walk to the bathroom. I keep sitting down on my bed. Dad and I booked double twin bedroom. We are going to stay here for a week since this Saturday will be my concert day.
"How was that?" Dad walks out from the bathroom and sits down on the couch.
"Can you help me to teach him vocal lessons? He is staying in this hotel too." I said to dad.
"Sure." Dad nods. "Do you want to go downstairs? I'm hungry."
"Yes! Me too!" I get up quickly and hold my iPad. I put my shoes on then brush my hair a bit.
Dad takes our room keys and walk out from the room. I walk out from the room and locked the door. I look at my iPad then goes to the elevator. Dad just walk behind me and sometimes rubbing my hair.
"Hey, Paris."
I turn my face and smile at Dylan. "Hey." I smile at him. "Oh this is my dad. You said you need someone to be a vocal coach right? He is teaching glee club in my school." I said to him and point at dad.
"Hi, Mr. Schuester. I'm Dylan." Dylan smiles at dad and shakes dad's hand.
"Nice to meet you, Dylan." Dad smiles back at him.
"You're a glee club teacher? No wonder your daughter is so talented. She got a killer voice and she can play those music instrumental very well." He said to dad.
"Well, you guys are talented. I mean you got into this." Dad chuckles.
I smile and walk out from the elevator. "where are you going?" I turn my face at Dylan.
"To the bar, I'm looking for my dad. See you guys later." He smiles at us and walks away.
"Daddy, I want to eat from food truck." I said to dad.
"Good because the food here is expensive. Come on." Dad chuckles.
"You are so cheap." I laugh and walk out from the hotel. "Do you think mom will come?" I turn my face at dad.
"I don't know, sweetheart but I hope she will. You got me here. I left glee club when we are like four weeks away from Nationals. Just consider that we have a full week of daddy-daughter dates." Dad grins at me.
"Yes and can we go shopping again?" I giggle.
"No shopping. You already shopping too much in Lima that time." Dad shakes his head.
"Okay but can we go to Candy Museum?" I grin at dad.
"Fine." Dad sighs.
"Dad, this Sunday is my birthday." I said to him and hold his hand.
"And?" Dad raises his eyebrows.
"And?" I pout.
Dad laughs and rubs my hair. "You still have your little pout. Okay we can go to Candy Museum on Sunday as your birthday present."
"You are so cheap." I shake my head.
Dad laughs and rubs my hair. Dad put his arm around my shoulder as we both keep walking on the street. I hug my iPad and look around. Looking for the food truck that I will like.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm sitting down on the edge of the stage and looking at my phone. I miss Sam. I hope that he didn't burn the house or forget to give Orly food.
"That's your boyfriend?" Dylan asks me and sits down next to me.
"Yes. He is living in my house with me and dad. His parents moved out to Kentucky so he lived with us." I nod.
"I thought you were single." He giggles.
"Well, I'm not." I giggle.
"By the way, your dad is really good at teaching me my vocal. Mr. Easton said that I'm doing better." Dylan smiles at me. "You seems really close to your dad until he took a week off you carry you here."
"Well, my parents are divorced and mom moved to Miami so I barely see her. My dad got full of custody of me because my mom is having trouble with her mental health like anxiety and depression." I said to him.
"I'm so sorry. It must be hard for you." He half smiled at me.
"Well, it's for the best. I'm closer to dad than to mom anyway." I giggle.
"You must be the only child right?"
"Yes I am." I nod and look at my watch. "I have to go now. Dad and I plan to observe New York." I giggle and get up. "I'll see you around." I smile at Dylan and walks away.
I take my bag and hold my violin case. I walk out from the Carnegie Hall and look around. Dad already promised me to explore New York in order to my birthday present this year.
"Want vanilla or strawberry? They're out of chocolate." Dad asks me and shows me two cones of ice cream.
"Vanilla." I grin and him and take the ice cream from his hand. "So where are we going today?"
"To explore New York City obviously so I want to bring you some antique places." Dad says to me and start walking. "Let's go." I lick my ice cream and walk behind dad while looking around. "First thing first, Radio City Music Hall." Dad grins at me.
"I know you love that place so much." I said to dad.
"Well, you got to see that place." Dad smiles at me.
I chuckle and walk into Radio City. I look around and this is such a beautiful place. Dad just taking some pictures. I laugh and look around while taking some pictures that I probably will upload into my social media. This is fun.
~~
I'm laughing reading the comments on my i********: comment section. I posted a picture of me after exploring New York for a day with my dad. Tomorrow I will have my concert and the next day is my birthday and I will go to Candy Museum with dad.
"Rachel choked on her audition." Dad says to me and hold his phone.
"That's like the worst nightmare ever." I frown at dad.
"First, she forgot the lyrics then for the second try out she choked." Dad says.
"So she won't get into NYADA?" I ask dad.
"Probably." Dad shrugs. "Now you take a rest. You have a big concert tomorrow." Dad takes my iPad.
I let out a sigh and lay down on my bed. Dad is sitting down on his bed and reading a book. I close my eyes and pull the blanket around my body. I hope that nothing is going to fail tomorrow.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I'm standing on the backstage. Wearing a black dress and red flat shoes. I brush my hair and put chapstick on my lips. Today is concert day. I'm really nervous but I hope that I won't ruin it. My future is start from this day.
"Alright everyone let's gather around." Mr. Easton says to us. I smile and gather around with the others. I take a deep breath and looking at them. "Don't be nervous, the moment is come today. Just think that you're perform for music. everyone remember their times and notes right? Good luck." Mr. Easton smiles at us.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to The 51st Annual Classic Concert. This concert is presented by 20 music college around US and UK. And now for the opening of this concert, ladies and gentlemen The Classical Angels."
I sit down on my seat and hold my violin. Mr. Easton as our conductor starts giving us instructions to start playing the music. I take a look at the audience seat and see dad is sitting down and a seat next to him is empty. Mom didn't come.
~~
The concert is finally done. I mean the whole concert is not done yet but my part is done. Now I'm just watching seniors orchestra playing classic music from Mozart.
I'm sitting down next to the others and watch the concert. I can't believe that my name and my picture is be in the part of this concert. Rumour has it that we all get scholarship from these twenty college and we can choose whatever we want to. That's is insane and cool.
The music is finally stop and the concert is officially done. We are all back to the stage and standing on the stage. Today is the best day of my life.
The audience start applauding for us. We are backing down give our last honor to the audience. I can see dad is cheering and applauding loudly like the first time I won my music competition.
The curtain start to lift down. I walk to the backstage and take my sling bag and my violin case.
"Alright guys, before we back to our hometown. I'd like to say thank you for your hard work this past week. I hope that this is going to be the best experience that you will ever have. Also, your official certificate and scholarship offers will be send to your house. Congratulations, you can pick one between twenty colleges that held this event." Mr. Easton smiles at us. "Now let's hug it out!"
I chuckle and start hugging at each other. This past week has been incredible. I met new friends, new teachers, learn about new things, and this is the best experience.
"Guess that I will see you in Nationals Show Choir Championship in Chicago." Mr. Easton smiles at me.
"You will come?" I chuckle.
"I always come to find new talents. Best of luck." Mr. Easton smiles at me and walks away.
I smile and walk out from the backstage then walk out from the theater and walk out from the Carnegie Hall. I hug my violin case and look around looking for dad.
"So when you will be back to Ohio?"
I turn my face and smile at Dylan. "Tomorrow night. Dad and I will spend a more day here since tomorrow is my birthday." I giggle. "What about you?"
"Tomorrow also. My parents are enjoying having honeymoon here." Dylan laughs.
"Hey, you want to go back to the hotel now?" A woman come to us and ask Dylan.
"Alright sure. I'll see you around." Dylan smiles at me and waves me a goodbye.
I smile back at them and wave. I look around and take my phone from my sling bag and dial dad's number.
"No need to call. I was in the restroom." Dad says to me.
I giggle and put my phone inside my sling bag. "So Mr. Easton said that I got to choose one of twenty music colleges that I want since I got full scholarship but my graduation is one year away." I said to dad as we start walking.
"I know. He told me. All those letters probably will come to our house next weeks. Well at least I don't have to save for your college." Dad chuckles.
"What if I want to go to Hunter College?" I turn my face at dad.
"Still want to study about arts?" Dad asks me.
"Deep down yes but I want to learn about music too so I'm confused." I giggle.
"You have one year to think about it." Dad rubs my hair and smiles at me.
"Mom didn't come, doesn't she?" I half smiled.
"Hey, you're still have your daddy here. Who stayed here with you since a week ago. For the past three years I have been your dad and your mom." Dad says to me. "What if we go change and have dinner in The Plaza?" Dad grins at me.
"No, I want to sleep. I'm so tired." I shake my head.
Dad chuckles and rubs my head. "Okay but tomorrow we have Candy Museum to visit." Dad smiles at me.
"Yes! Yes! Yes!" I laugh.
Dad shakes his head as we walk to the hotel lobby. I smile at him and walk to the elevator. Dad unlock our room. I get into our room and put my violin case on the coffee table then walk to the bathroom and change my clothes with pajama and wash my face.
"You want to eat something before sleep?" Dad shouts.
"Yes." I nod and wipe my face with face towel.
I sit down on my bed and look at my phone. I turn on the TV and dad is calling the room service. I lay down on my bed and hug my pillow then close my eyes. I'm so tired from today.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I open my eyes and see there is a slice of a cake on the coffee table with a little candle on it. I chuckle and get up. I sit down on the coffee table chair and looking at that candle.
"Wanna blow it or not?" Dad asks me.
I smile and blow the candle. "You don't have to do this." I smile at dad.
"Well, I need coffee so I went to the coffeehouse downstairs and they sell this delicious tiramisu cake and I bought it with a candle on it." Dad smiles and sits down next to me.
"Thank you, daddy." I smile at dad and hug him.
"Happy birthday, sweet pea." Dad hugs me back and kisses my head. "Now get ready. You said you want to go to Candy Museum."
"Can I eat this cake first? I can't resists the smell. It's so delicious." I grin at dad.
"Up to you." Dad rubs my hair and gets up.
I look at the cake and take a fork. I cut my cake and bite it. I grin and continue eating the cake. This is just a simple birthday celebration yet special.
~~
I'm sitting down on the couch in the airport longue. Dad just sitting down opposite me and reading a book. Our plane to go back to Lima git delayed about one hour and I'm bored and tired.
I look through my phone and scrolling through the i********:. I didn't notice that dad posted something cute about me on his i********:. And my posted about my birthday in Candy Museum got so much likes. I'm so happy today.
"Dad, when our plane is ready?" I groan.
"I'll ask them." Dad gets up and walks away.
I put my phone inside my sling bag and look around. I tap my feet and dad walks back to me then put his book inside his bag.
"How is it?" I ask dad.
"They said the plane will be ready in thirty minutes." Dad sits down opposite me.
I groan and lean my head on the sofa board. Luckily that I didn't put Mr. Barney in my suitcase and I can totally hug this doll now.
I'm happy doing a lot of fun today but I'm tired. I want to sleep on my bed and meet Sam. I missed him like crazy since I didn't meet him for a week.
Suddenly I heard the announcement about my plane. I let out a sigh and get up. I hug my Mr. Barney then walk behind dad as we walk to the check in gate. My adventure in New York is finally over now.
