Chapter Seven
Music fills the air, both too loud and just loud enough at the same time. It's been ages since I came out to a club and most of those times involved a lot of drinking. It's a little disconcerting to be here completely sober.
But Moonlight is a supernatural only club, which does make a difference. Not everyone comes here to drink. A lot of them come because here it's safe to show that they really are to everyone.
Not that it isn't technically safe in the outside world too. There are plenty of laws in place that are supposed to protect supernaturals from discrimination, but that doesn't always translate into reality as much as it should. Especially for creatures like me who aren't what's deemed the coolest.
