Nicole.. When I opened my eyes, the world I saw in front of me looked like it had been painted anew with a brush soft, blurred strokes. The sun's yellow light sipped into the room, through the curtains, signaling that it was morning. And the cold air kissed my face, causing me to come awake fully, my chest heaving profusely. The ceiling above me swayed slightly, or maybe it was just my eyes. My entire body ached, a dull, unrelenting throb that made me want to sink deeper into the bed, shut my eyes and don't come awake untill I finally could wake up without pain.
