Slipping out past Marcus' guards wasn't the hard part, it was getting past the people wandering the streets drenched in blood. That was a little hard not to notice. It was in her hair, her fingernails, all over her face, neck and chest, and that was just her exposed skin. Her jeans and shirt were covered in splattered splotches of drying crimson making it almost dark red. She couldn’t let them see or risk a cop seeing her like this. How would she explain it?    She used the alleyways and less crowded areas to escape Marcus’ building and avoid the sights of people. She didn't stop until she reached her truck trying to hide the bloody mess that clung to her face, clothing and hands.
