"You're glowing."
I looked up from my coffee to find Natalie staring at me across the table at our usual Saturday brunch spot. "What?"
"You're literally glowing. Like, pregnant woman or woman in love glowing." She leaned forward, studying my face. "And since I'm assuming you're not pregnant..."
"I'm not glowing." I took another sip of my latte, avoiding her eyes. "And I'm definitely not pregnant."
"Then what's with the..." She gestured vaguely at my face. "The radiant happiness thing you've got going on?"
I wanted to tell her she was imagining things, but I couldn't. Because the truth was, I had been feeling different lately. Lighter. Happier.
