Chapter3 Not this time

1982 Words
What would girls do when they got money? Went shopping with no doubts! No need to take good care of Heyns, it was the first time Lucille to stayed in bed until the afternoon the other day in the past three years. She Stretched herself, then finished her late lunch delivered by Jackson. "You are right, Jackson." Lucille dressed up hot and sexy, "Being a single lady is a wonderful thing." At least she didn't need to obey the rules of the Walson family. Lucille put on lipstick and said goodbye to Jackson. She now looked like a wild cat with a charming smile on her face. When Lucille went past the biggest luxury boutique on Century Avenue, she fell in love with a diamond necklace at first sight. "May I have a close look at this one?" Lucille asked the guide. The guide politely said no, "I'm so sorry Ma'am, this has already been booked by others." Lucille made another request, "Maybe you can bring me your stock for this necklace?" "Sorry," the guide turned down her suggestion, "This is a limited edition. We only have this one in this city." "Hmmm," Lucille still didn't give up, "What about I pay you more? I will give you a satisfying tip." "Thank you so much, Ma'am, but we can't sell the necklace to you." The guide was so sad that she had to give up the good offer, she told Lucille, "Maybe you can talk to Mr. Walson about this if you really like it." Lucille never thought she would hear Heyn's name in this kind of situation. She stood for a while, then waived to the guide, "I appreciate your recommendation, but never mind." She glanced at the necklace before she was about to leave. Heyns hardly gave her presents. In fact, she received nothing from him during their marriage. All her jewelry was delivered by the luxury companies that cooperated with the Walson, and she also got presents from Heyns' business partners. "He must prepare this for Sylvi!" Lucille said to herself, "He really can't wait any longer to be with her! Maybe it won't take long for him to marry her!" Wantz came over here with a short-haired woman who was in a white suit. He saw Lucille. "Mrs. Walson!" Wantz called Lucille's name, "Please give me one second, I have something to discuss with you." He sent the women in a white suit to go inside the shop. Lucille turned around and saw the woman. She knew about her. This woman worked for Sylvi! She was Sylvi's agent, Elena. Elena didn't go inside as Wantz requested, she stayed instead and brought up a topic about Lucille. "Look who we got here! Wantz, you definitely made a mistake! This lady was Mrs. Walson! You know what I mean? Please don't bother her!" Elena turned to Lucille with a disguised smile, "I've no idea how you dare to shop at this expensive place with no money. I heard you refused to take anything from the Walson family. You can't marry an old gentleman for his money in such a short time, can you?" Lucille sneered, "Well, you sound like you are familiar with it. So now you are sharing your treasure experience with me? Look how nice you were!" Elena didn't know what to reply. Lucille gave Elena a wink, "My bad. No mature gentleman would like to spend anything on a woman like you." Elena's face turned blue with anger. Lucille didn't give a s**t. She nodded to Wantz and turned her back to them. "I'm afraid you have to spare some time with us." Wantz apologized to Lucille and stopped her leaving, "Mr. Walson will be here at any moment." "I don't think we have anything left to discuss. Wantz, you know Heyns and I divorced." Wantz kept apologizing, but he wouldn't let Lucille go. It was so hard for them to find any info about Lucille. Wantz wouldn't doubt the fact that he could never ever see Lucille again if he failed to stop her at this moment. Finally, Heyns arrived before Lucille left. "Just one second." Heyns was so good-looking, with a well-tailored black suit, that he attracted the attention of everyone else as soon as he showed up. "Hi, Mr. Walson!" Elena stepped in front of Lucille and tried to say hello to Heyns, "Now you are here, maybe..." Heyns nodded to Elena, and interrupted her word, "Sorry, please leave us alone." Elena was about to say something, but Wantz warned her, "You'd better do as Mr. Walson's request." Heyns didn't pay any attention to Elena, he couldn't help taking his eyes off Lucille. He looked at Lucille's dress and frowned fiercely as if he wanted to say something, but in the end, he kept his comments on Lucille's dress to himself. "Lucille, I need you to think twice about the contract I sent to you." Lucille looked at him with a poker face, she forced herself to withdraw her gaze, "If you want to talk about this, please move. You can tell my decision.” Heyns would never have expected one day he would be refused by Lucille. She had a soft tender and never turned off any of his suggestions before. It seemed like she had changed. Heyns couldn't help to doubt Lucille if she had been wearing a mask for the past years. "I am a Walson, how do you expect people to think of our family if you didn't ask for anything? I will be a cold-blooded, heartless businessman with no mercy for my ex-wife..." "No worries, Mr. Walson, people will get to know how you care for the past and cherish your family when you marry Ms. Sylvi." Lucille shrugged, "You will be more attractive to more young ladies.” Everyone in the city knew the past of Heyns and Sylvi. People would only speak highly of Heyns for his affection for Sylvi. Heyns' mood was so bad, that he glanced at Wantz. Wantz immediately passed the contract to Lucille, he tried to change Lucille's mind, "Ma'am, you know Mr. Walson worries about you. Your sacrifice to your ex-husband needs to be recognized. Please, do ask for something. I will adjust it in no time." Lucille kept silent for a second, her eyes were focused on the diamond necklace again. "What if I ask for this necklace? Heyns, will you give it away and let me take it?” Heyns refused without hesitation, "Any other thing. Lucille, you will choose something else, will you?” Lucille felt like her dream was broken by Heyns again. It was the second time she asked for an insult! She already knew the necklace should be a present to Sylvi, but she still tried to ask for it. She smiled with sarcasm, "I was joking. Heyns, I don't need anything from you.” "Lucille...” Heyns felt something went wrong. Before he said anything, Elena smiled, "Lucille, don't be so proud. Ask for nothing when divorce makes people think you are still in love with Mr. Heyns. You don't want this kind of rumor to spread, right?” "Ms. Elena, I said leave us alone!" Heyns was a little mad at Elena. "I'm sorry." Elena apologized at once, but she didn't think she had done anything wrong. She looked at Lucille with a despise. "Rest assured. Tell your Mistress she will get whatever she wants.” Lucille stepped into the shop, she chose a very expensive watch and paid for it. "Just let you know, I can totally live on my own. So stop worrying about me, only mind yourselves.” She glanced at Heyns, "A soft reminder, don't make promises to anybody uncautiously if you can't keep your word. What a shame!” Elena was so happy to see this, that she asked Lucille to repeat at once, "Will you swear to God that you will never stuck with Mr. Heyns?” "As I said, mind your own business." Heyns stared at the watch with his eyebrow frown. "This watch...” He might be overthinking, but this was his favorite design and color! "You like it right?" Lucille smiled. Heyns thought it would be a present for him. He even stretched out his arm. "What are you doing Heyns?" Lucille opened her eyes wide, "If you want this watch, go and buy it yourself. I believe you can search it even though this is a limited edition." "But please don't buy the same one, cuz my boyfriend hates to wear the same things you have. If you wish, you can take this request as what I want from you for the divorce." Lucille warned and left. Heyns was so angry as he realized that Lucille was doing it on purpose. He took a deep breath and asked Wantz to check if Lucille really had a boyfriend. "I know she is a liar.” Before Wantz move, Elena handed her phone over to Heyns with panic, "Mr. Heys, Sylvi has a headache again but she wouldn't let me tell you about it.” Heyns called Wantz, "Let's go and visit Sylvi.” "But what about Ms. Lucille..."Wantz tried to remind Heyns. "Not this time. Sylvi hurts now.” Heyns finally changed his destination. Elena didn't follow them. She asked the guide to take down the gorgeous diamond necklace and packed it up, with a winning smile on her lips. Not far away, Lucille experienced another heartbreak. What an i***t! How does she still wonder if Heyns would come and explain more to her when she fully understood the fact that Heyns never loved her? She had no interest in shopping anymore. Back at the villa, she was just about to give the watch as a present to Jackson, Jackson walked towards her with a serious look, "Found out the owner of the mission. Guess what, your ex-husband, that a*s whole is the one who issues the case." Lucille sipped her drink, "What happened to him?" She'd done her best to take care of Heyns for the past three years, and by all rights, he should be in good health. Jackson's voice got a little irritated, "That man isn't doing it for himself, he's doing it for his honey, Sylvi." Lucille stopped drinking. Her fingers trembled slightly. "Quit the mission then." She said with a blank face. "Forget it, pumpkin, I've already refused the task. Heyns, that a*s whole will never see your beautiful face again!" Jackson hugged Lucille. He found the watch, screaming out loud on purpose, "Oh, sweetie, how could you know me so well! I love this kind of design sooo much! It is my style!” "Beautiful lady, "Jackson bent down, kissed the hand of Lucille, and winked, "May I have the honor of inviting you for dinner?" Lucille was amused by Jackson again. He always had a way to help her relief from bad feelings. "It would be a great honor." Lucille answered in the same manner. "Good, good, we will have a wonderful night!" Jackson booked the most famous restaurant in the city at once. He always knows how to enjoy life. Lucille was about to say yes, then she came across that the restaurant was very close to Heyns' company. She didn't want to meet Heyns again. "So what?" Jackson was shocked about her worries, "Even though the world is small, you will not give up a lot of interesting things to avoid Heyns, right?” Lucille hesitated. "Come on sweetie, say you will not. You need to promise it to me!" Jackson pushed her to a new life. Lucille finally agreed to have dinner there. Heyns would stay with Sylvi in the clinic. At least this night, she did not need to worry about seeing him. She changed a sexy hip-hugging dress and got into Jackson's car.
