The encounter with my mother-in-law went unexpectedly smoothly.
After sending Andrea away, I kept staring at that beautiful bracelet.
Witnessing the passage of time, it became more beautiful.
I did not wear it on my hand. Instead, I just examined it closely. Deep down, I had a faint feeling that it should not be mine.
"Do you like it?" Derek's voice suddenly came from behind, startling me.
I was so engrossed that I didn't even hear his footsteps.
"Well, it looks pretty good," I replied.
Derek picked up the bracelet and gently said, "Let me put it on for you."
I instinctively avoided it. "Maybe next time. Such precious items are usually worn on important occasions, and I'm not used to wearing jewelry in daily life. It just feels so inconvenient."
