Unfortunately, I didn't feel the same. I was trembling with fear.
"I finally made it this far, Derek. Let me go. I have something else to do," I said.
But he didn't relent. I tried to fight back, but Derek's strength was overwhelming.
I was quickly held tightly in his arms, and he said, "Nothing is more important than your safety."
"This is my path. If you truly love me, you should support my decisions."
