The pack's eyes locked onto the stranger, their bodies tense and ready to defend themselves. Atlas and Luna positioned themselves between the stranger and the pup, their hackles raised and their teeth bared.
The stranger, however, didn't seem to notice the pack's aggression. Instead, it regarded them with a calm, almost curious expression. As the pack watched, the stranger stepped forward, its movements slow and deliberate.
"Who are you?" Atlas growled, his voice low and menacing.
The stranger didn't respond immediately. Instead, it continued to approach the pack, its eyes fixed on the pup. As it drew closer, the pack saw that it was a female, her fur a sleek gray coat with piercing green eyes.
"I mean no harm," she said, her voice soft and melodious. "I've been watching you from afar. I know about the pup's condition, and I think I can help."
The pack exchanged skeptical glances. Could they trust this stranger? Atlas and Luna seemed uncertain, but the pup's fragile condition left them little choice.
"What do you propose?" Atlas asked, his voice still cautious.
The stranger smiled, her eyes crinkling at the corners. "My name is Lyra," she said. "And I possess knowledge of the forest's secrets. If you allow me, I can help you save the pup's life."
The pack hesitated, weighing their options. Could they trust Lyra, or was she a threat in disguise? The fate of their pup hung in the balance, and they had to make a decision.
