Twelvestones
Glyneth held court at the opposite end of the long dining table on the royal dais dominating the center of the Twelvestones banquet hall. Dozens of lower tables gathered around the King and Queen of the Firstborn.
The gleaming mahogany tabletops were the only surfaces in the hall not painted, upholstered, draped, or gilded. Intricate borders in vibrant tones of emerald, sapphire, ruby, and amber framed landscape murals on the walls and domed ceiling. Inlaid mosaics of copper, silver, and gold adorned the floor beneath soft carpets in the vivid purple and purest white of Twelvestones heraldry.
Firstborn sycophants and fawning patrons from all over Innis vied for Queen Glyneth’s favor. Her crown sparkled in the light cast by abundant candles
