Viktor’s POV. By the time we walked through the front doors of the mansion, the home nurse was already waiting for us. She took one look at Dmitri’s hand and dragged him into the medical room without a word. Nikolai followed, still grinning like the whole night had been some kind of entertainment. I stayed behind for a moment, lighting a cigarette and staring at the dark hallway that led toward Elena’s room. My mind was full of her. The way she had looked last night when she finally started to break. The sound of her unwilling moans. The stubborn fire that refused to die even when her body was shaking under our hands. She was different from the other women we had taken. Most of them either cried until they became empty or submitted too quickly. Elena still had fight left in her. T
