Eve’s Pov :
“Max?What in the hell are you doing?Turn on the lights.”I say a little louder this time.There’s a slight tremor in my voice.
I can hear the loud thumping of my heart in my ears as i look around trying to make out his figure or anything.
“Max?”I call again.“Max..i am telling you it’s not funny.”
Suddenly a chuckle comes from behind me and i turn around but see only darkness.
“Is my little fox afraid of darkness?”His deep voice rings in the room.
I look around and take a step back,gulping.“Ma-Shhhh..”A finger is pressed against my lips and a warm figure steps into me from behind.
His familiar cologne envelopes me entirely and a sense relief washes over me.
“I am here am not i?What are you afraid of little fox?”He whispers,nuzzling his nose in my hair.
