Ashton’s POV I methodically load the dishwasher, the clatter of the ceramic plates the only sound in the kitchen as I replay the conversation over the table between Luna and Beth. Luna’s advice was good, perfect even, as my daughter struggled with how to deal with her argument with her friend. It leaves me feeling a restless mix of anxious and relief. I’d had to bite down on the inside of my cheek to stop myself from jumping in, if this is going to work, I need to let Luna take the reins a bit. I have to trust her to handle the small issues that might come up while I am on the road. I Shut the dishwasher door and start the cycle, the machine humming to life.
