Luna’s POV ‘Over here,’ Beth urges, dragging me toward a corner of the room where a child sized fabric castle stands next to a closed closet door. Beth releases my hand, dropping to her knees and ducking through the fabric flap. She crawls inside, then twists around to beckon to me over her shoulder to follow her. I do as instructed, sinking to my knees to peek inside. The small space is a soft nest of piled cushions, each one occupied by a different doll or teddy bear. A string of fairy lights glow around the top, casting a warm, flickering light over the interior. ‘Sit here Luna’ Beth instructs me, patting the seat beside her invitingly as she shoves a brown teddy bear to the side.
