More fights?

Valarie POV

It’s now 2nd Period and I have PE. Felix dropped off a tracksuit for me and said he had to deal with Elite business. The teacher had told us we’re doing basketball and all the girls started giggling shyly. I didn’t see what could be so funny or embarrassing. 

“Boys VS Girls” The teacher said and Instead of being enthusiastic, all of a sudden each girl had an excuse.

“Sorry sir but my leg hurts”

“I lost my contacts and can’t see properly without them”

“I left my inhaler at home”

“I have a nut allergy” What? 

“I have dyslexia” Huh? 

“I’m allergic to movement” Who the hell is going to be this gullible. The teacher looked as if this was the everyday norm.

“Okay is there anyone, let me rephrase that. Any GIRL who actually wants to do basketball” I raised my hand and looked around to see I was the only one.

“What’s your name?”

“Me? Valarie. I’m new sir. This is actually my first day here”

“Okay listen up boys and girl. We’re going to do 1v1 since there isn’t enough girls. Tyson you can choose your partner first” He whispered with the boys and turned to look at me. 

“How about Valarie” WHAT? ME? 

I just walked onto court and stood at my side while they watched.

“You coming or what?” I said coldly. He walked over.

“Don’t be so cold angel, it doesn’t look good on you” The hell? I rolled my eyes. The teacher came over with a basketball.

“Hands by your side and on 3” We did as he said.

“1,2,3” he threw the ball up. I jumped higher than Tyson and grabbed the ball before he did. I faked hitting him in the face with it.

“Don’t try so hard boy, it doesn’t look good on you” I said before crossing him and throwing the ball into the hoop from behind the centre line. Easy 3 points. I turned around to look at the disbelief on Tyson’s face. The rest of the match was pretty much one sided with him getting a few points at the end. I eventually noticed the reason all the girls lied was to fan girl over Tyson. I couldn’t take the screaming because my ears had become more sensitive due to Skeletors training.

“Match winner Valarie” When the teacher announced who won all the girls gave me a dirty look. I just ignored them and went to wipe my face with the towel Felix had given me. While my back was against all the girls my senses tingled and something in me told me to duck so i did. I felt a ball slightly graze my back. When I turned around everyone was acting like nothing happened. Fortunately I can see the path of anything that has either touched me or I’ve seen with my own eyes. It isn’t a power but an enhanced eye sense. Lucky for me not so for whoever did it. My eyes skimmed the trace and low and behold the same girl who ran from Skeletor with her tail in between her legs. I grabbed the same ball, threw it at the girl and walked up to her.

“You wanted my attention now do something with it” She went to slap me but I held her wrist and dropped it. “Go ahead, slap me” I looked into her eyes “I dare you” Before I knew it her hand had connected with my face and left an imprint. I laughed a bit.

“You’ve got guts I give you that but can you back it up” I felt my eyes begin to burn but it wasn’t a burn that hurt, more like a warning. s**t it’s happening. I clenched my fists to suppress all the anger that was built up. I linked minds with Felix to let him know.

‘Felix can you come quickly’

‘Really? It’s already happening? Val I left you for literally 15 minutes’

‘I know I know but some girl literally slapped me’

‘Alright I’m coming just hold on’ He then disconnected. 

“Ha your mom must be pathetic to have given birth to such a loser like yourself” She said laughing as if it was the funniest joke in the world. Hearing her speak so ill of my mother made me even more angry but I just breathed in and out and tried to leave the situation.

“You aren’t worth my time” As I walked away she grabbed my wrist turning me around to punch me in the face. I touched my lip to find out it was bleeding. How could I forget. I had read our powers don’t work in certain areas of the school and this was one of them so my healing was cut off. She hit me again in my stomach and I coughed up blood. I wasn’t going to fight or do anything until Felix got here. He better hurry up because my eyes were about to roll back and be taken over. The girl and her little gang of 3 started to beat me up together. How I wish I could just fight back but I won’t. My sibling senses told me Felix’s very close so I looked over at the door and there he was. His face showed many emotions. Anger, worry, relief and proudness I held on.

“What’s going on here?” He spoke making the girls quickly move away from me. He put his arm around my waist,the other took my arm round his neck and helped me up. “You boys just watched this?” There was no shame in their eyes. “I’ll make sure you all receive severe punishments” He said before carrying me to the infirmary.

“I’m sorry you went through all that Val, just know I’m very proud of you for hanging in there” I gave him the biggest smile I could manage which came out nothing more than a grin. I could feel my eyes becoming heavy and I was finding it hard to fight the urge to sleep.

“Felix can you carry my full weight?”

“Yeah why?”

“I’m feeling a bit sle-“ I couldn’t finish my sentence as I drooped off to sleep.

Felix POV

After she fell asleep I lifted her onto my back and continued to walk to the infirmary. Once we got there the nurse took her and I went to go inform the headmaster about this.

“So Valarie is your sister?” He questioned. I felt like I had to lie because something about that question was just too suspicious.

“She is but that doesn’t mean I’m being bias”

“Yes of course not. I’ll have all the students involved come down in a minute” He clicked a button which allowed all students to hear him through the speakers around school. “Can everyone that was in P.E for 2nd Period come down to my official immediately. Thank you” 

In a few seconds everyone was here.

“So I assume you all know why I called you here” All the girls shook their heads as the boys just kept quiet. “Oh you don’t? Let me show you then” He typed something into his computer and turned it round so the students could see. He then clicked play and turns out the whole scene was caught on camera. I could feel myself burning up with anger. How was Val able to keep hers under wraps? When the video finished the headmaster spoke.

“So let me ask you again. I ASSUME YOU ALL KNOW WHY I CALLED YOU HERE” His sudden shouting shocked the girls and they nodded their heads vigorously. “I won’t even ask why you pathetic losers did this I’m demoting all 4 of you girls to dragon and you can spend a whole day in either the ice or fire ring. Your choice” I mentally smirked. “We don’t tolerate any of this at school unless it’s an approved fight. The poor girl only transferred here today and this is what you do? Shame on all of you. Girls your dismissed” He then turned his focus to the boys.

“And you boys thought the whole scene was funny did you?” No one spoke. “DID YOU?” They shook their heads as a no. “Well you clearly did and to not have helped her or stopped the girls is just despicable” One of the boys finally spoke. 

“Are you going to demote us or what?”

“No JACK. I won’t demote you or what” he said mocking the boy.

“You all have 2 options” 

The headmaster then looked at me for approval and I nodded knowing where this was about to go. 

“Either fight Felix or fight Val” 

I already knew who they were going to choose.

"And if you loose you must do whatever your opponent says for a whole day" 

The headmaster finished. I saw all the boys smirk. I knew then no one was going to pick me. Who would in their right mind? 

"Well Jack your first”

“Valerie”

“Jason?”

“Valerie”

“Mike?”

“Valerie”

“And Tyson?”

“Valerie”

“Okay boys you’ve chosen who you want to fight there’s just one setback. Neither of you can use your powers” The headmaster smiled.

“What? That’s not fair” Mike protested.

“Oh but it is. She won’t be using her powers either” Yep. Val’s definitely wining all 4 matches.

“Huh? But she couldn’t fight off those girls in the hall what makes you think she will beat us in raw strength?” I smirked and walked up to them.

“I’ll pray for you all in the stands” I said before walking off to check on Val. When I walked in she was already awake.

“Finally your back Felix”

“Yeah um I have to tell you something” I don’t know how she’s going to take the news but she has to fight them.

“What did you get yourself actually what did you get ME into this time” 

“Well you know how those boys just watched you get beat they’re punishment is to fight you and if you win they do whatever you tell them for a whole day”

“WHAT? Wait? This is the best thing ever”

“You’re not mad?”

“You did your best to get justice for me so no” I’m so glad she’s happy about this. 

“I just remembered our new room has been prepared for us”

“REALLY? LETS GO NOW” She said about to walk out the door. 

“Hold your horses Val you still have 3 lessons left” She laughed.

“Almost forget about that” Shes so forgetful sometimes. How do you forget you have school.

“We have the same lesson so let’s go together” We both made our way to dance. Me and Val absolutely love dancing. We used to dance together all the time until I got really busy with school. 

When we walked in everyone once again looked at us. The teacher welcomed us in and had Val introduce herself. She was so cold but I don’t blame her. People at this school are ruthless if they aren’t your friend. 

“Okay everyone pick your partners and create a dance. You have 35 minutes” I saw my ex walking up to me but I ignored her and went to Val.

“Like old times?” I said asking if she wanted to be my partner.

“Just like old times” We both smiled then talked about what the dance was going to be. The style was hip hop and the song OT by Nikyee Heaton.

~~~35 minutes later~~~

“Okay guys times up. Who would like to go first?” Val immediately rose her hand. What else could I have honestly expected. We went to the front and I told Sir to cue the music. After 2 minutes of intense dancing we finally finished. While watching other people’s performance I was kind of confused how they all got tired because me and Val were completely fine. When my ex came up I couldn’t even watch the dance. She thought she was SO sexy up their but really she’s just a slut. 

‘What are you thinking about Felix’ Val mind linked me

‘Nothing’

‘Felix I literally read your mind’ 

‘What? Since when could you read minds? I’ve got to be careful’ I saw her laugh.

‘So that’s your ex?’ She said looking at her dancing.

‘Sadly yes. Biggest mistake of my life was going out with her’

‘She played you didn’t she?’

‘How did you know?’

‘I saw her at basketball kissing Tyson then when we walked in she was kissing someone else. I’m sorry you had go through all that’ I sighed.

‘Don’t be. It’s not your fault. What about you? How you keeping up about Tyson?’

‘I’m fine just a bit mad I idolised him my whole life without seeing his true colours’ I was about to reply until the teacher spoke making me disconnect our mind link.

“Alright everyone that was great but I would love to see a bit more connection between some of you. I hope to see you all tomorrow, you may now leave” I got up and Cassandra came to me.

“What do you want” I’m really not in the mood to deal with this w***e.

“I want you baby” I swear I almost got sick at her calling me that. Does she think I’m gonna go back to her?

“Don’t call me baby and incase you didn’t already get the memo I don’t want you so leave me alone” I could see in the corner of my eye, Val coming this way. When she stood next to me I knew Cassandra was gonna say something.

“Who’s this b***h? Your new play toy?” Val was about to say something but I mind linked to just stay quiet.

“Don’t you EVER call my sister a b***h again. Don’t even look at her and if anyone was a play toy here it’s me but I’m done with you. Come close to me or my sister and you’ll know pain” I grabbed Val’s hand and we left.

“Damn Felix you can really hold your own and thank you for sticking up for me”

“Yeah I wasn’t going to let her keep controlling my life and I definitely wasn’t going to let her be apart of yours” It was now breakfast so we went to the big diner. When we arrived at our table I pulled the seat out for Val,which she thanked me for, then sat opposite her and waited for the food.

Valarie POV

It’s been about 7 minutes since we got our food and I’ve been really uncomfortable because Tyson kept looking at me. He was sat right next to me so that made it worse. I was about to bite my apple until I felt someone grab my thigh from under the table, making me freeze for a quick second before eating the apple and acting like nothing was wrong. Once I finished I directly looked below me at the table and used my x-ray to see who it was. Of course it’s Tyson. I didn’t want to create a scene or alert Felix so I invaded Tyson’s mind and said

‘If you don’t remove your hand I’ll break it’ He turned to look at me, smirked and tightened his grip making me stiffen up.     This guy really wants to die before our match doesn’t he. I poked the inside of my mouth with my tongue.

‘You look sexy when you do that’ I heard him say in his head and immediately stopped doing it. 

‘Are you seriously trying to flirt with me after probably sucking the face of every girl in this school? No thank you. I’ll give you 3 seconds to take your hand off. 3,2,1” He tightened it every second before releasing it after I finished counting. I grabbed his hand before he could fully remove it and twisted it till I couldn’t, making him clench his jaw.

‘I said 3. Not 4’ I let go before getting out of my chair.

“Felix I’m not hungry anymore” He got up as-well and we left the room.

“What was all that about?” He questioned. I stopped walking and connected my forehead with his for a few seconds.

“Oh. OH. HE DID WHAT?” Felix said with full memory of what just happened.

“I know right. The nerve”

“Want me to talk to him?”

“I know you’re trying to help but can we just go to our room?” He nodded instead of speaking because whenever he knows I’m just tired or not in the mood he tries to minimise speaking as much possible which I love him for. He nudged my shoulder gesturing this was the place. When I walked in, it was like walking into space. The galaxy wallpaper was stunning. I jumped onto the bed and felt like I was drowning but with air. It was so peaceful I didn’t realise I closed my eyes for so long. When I opened them Felix was gone. I looked to my left and there was a note on a table. I picked it up to read it.

‘I figured you need some time alone so I left. Next to this note should be an outfit’ I took a quick glance to see what he was on about before continuing to read ‘It’s your fighting outfit for your 4 matches. Make sure to have it on when I come to collect you in 2 hours and don’t worry about your last 2 classes. I’ll come up with something to tell your teachers

What did I do to deserve a brother like him. I’m so lucky. I can’t disappoint him so I must win these fights. I put the note down, took the outfit and put it on. Like Felix had said on the note I have about 2 hours so I decided to take a nap

~~~2 hours later~~

A knock along with my name woke me up from my nap. I got up and fixed myself before walking over to the door to open it.

“Napping?” Felix said with a chuckle.

“You know me so well” We laughed.

“You ready for this?”

“I was born ready”

“Actually you were born-“

“Don’t ruin it Felix”

“Just saying” He shrugged his shoulders 

“I’m sure they can arrange something for you to be in that ring with me so don’t be so smug” I said walking off leaving him to catch up. I will,no I must, live up to his expectations.
