~Two months later~
“Thank you so much for the lovely evening, everyone! Have a great night!” Miguel thanked the audience and then the three of us went backstage. We just finished our concert.
“Man, I’m beat,” Jorge said while scratching his bald head.
“Well done, brothers,” Miguel said.
“Oh! Are you going to bring your new woman to the taco party?”
“Nah, I blew it so nope. I’m accompanying your lonely ass this time.”
“Puto.”
And as usual, “Enjoy the party guys,” I told them as I grabbed my guitar bag and headed out. Without bothering to tell them what the hell happened to me. They already knew. I met my family along the way.
“Oh, Levi. Are you going there again?” my beautiful mother asked.
“Yes. I’m sorry, mom.”
“We understand, Levi.”
“Thanks. Enjoy the party,” I told her
