The next few days flew by in a blur of hand-to-hand combat training, and Morri developing additional skills with magic. Before we realized it, there was only one day until the full moon. I was nervous and excited all in one. Morri told me that the first few times really hurt, but the pain stops as soon as the shift is complete. The part I'm nervous about is the amount of time it will take to shift the first couple of times. For those who were born a shifter, the shifts still hurt, but not to the point of agony, and they usually take no more than 30 minutes to complete.
Born shifters have naturally high pain tolerances. I've always been intrigued by shifters and vampires. They live longer and are stronger than witches. Witches usually live an average of 125 years
