CHAPTER FOURTEEN Back CombingKit walked into Mr Rashid’s shop just before five the next morning. She closed the front door behind her and shot the bolt home. The overhead lights flickered as they burst into life, blinding her even though she kept her eyes closed after pressing the switch. She walked straight to the stock room and dumped her handbag on top of a long freezer. Yawning, she unlocked the back door and pulled it open. “Argh!” She clutched her chest and bent double. “You almost gave me a heart attack!” she squeaked. “Sorry.” A burly man slammed the back door of his van and smirked.
