CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR 1 Peter awoke the following day eager to pack up and leave early as possible, but he first had to wait until his parents got home from church to call and make the arrangements. They were thrilled to have Peter come spend some time with them and eager to meet their future daughter in law. Peter and Angie left Washington a little after noon for the nearly four-hour drive to Mountain Lake Park, and as they made their way towards his childhood home, Peter found himself lost in a cascading series of thoughts.
