CHAPTER THIRTY-FOUR Garrou had just finished his steak and was leaning back into the soft cushioning of the corner booth his party sat in, savoring the aftertaste of his meal, and enjoying the light buzz he had going after his third glass of wine. The only thing that would have made this dinner better is if he could be smoking a cigar at that moment. While not technically a business dinner, Garrou nonetheless used the gathering as a chance to do some business; he’d invited this group of colleagues together to help him achieve his goals, using food, drink, and camaraderie as a way to help make that happen.
