Take me now

Adam’s hand slid slowly up the inside of Nomadlozi’s thigh, his touch warm and deliberate. She felt her breath catch as her seat reclined with the pressure of her shifting body. Then—his lips brushed hers. Soft. Testing. Seeking permission. She didn’t speak. Instead, she reached up, grabbed the back of his neck, and pulled him in. Their mouths collided in a deep, needy kiss that poured years of unspoken longing into one impossible moment. There was no space between them—only heat. His hands cupped her jaw, then slid down her body like he was learning her all over again. He kissed her neck, slow and reverent, then lower, and lower still, until he was on his knees, pulling off her shoes like she was sacred. > “Adam…” she whispered, her voice shaking with anticipation. He murmured something against her skin—low, reverent—before his hand found the hem of her dress. His fingers slipped under it, and then beneath her panties, discovering how soaked she already was. > God, she needed him. Not in the future. Not later. Now. --- They didn’t speak much on the two-hour drive. The small hotel they checked into was quiet, tucked away from the world. A sanctuary where no one could reach them. As the door clicked shut behind them, Nomadlozi exhaled. She didn’t unlock her phone. She couldn’t. Instead, she watched Adam pace, holding the gift she had brought with such care. The sharp edge of tension still hung in the air. > “Why don’t you open it?” she said gently, walking toward him. Adam stopped. His eyes softened. > “Neh? That’s a great idea. I wonder what you got me,” he said, his voice lightening as a boyish grin spread across his face. They sat on the wooden floor, close enough to touch but leaving just enough space for air to vibrate between them. Adam tore into the wrapping like a child on Christmas morning. Inside: a sleek watch, a silk tie, and an expensive bottle of whiskey. He read the handwritten note attached to the bottle and burst into laughter. > “Do you know how corny this sounds?” he teased, eyes gleaming. > “Are you calling me corny?” Nomadlozi raised an eyebrow. > “No, La…” > “La?” she echoed, puzzled. > “Yeah,” he said with a shrug. “Short for Love.” She burst into laughter, her hand covering her mouth in surprise. That… was unexpected. Sweet. Disarming. So very him. For a moment, it felt like nothing could ruin this. --- > “I think we should go home and face them,” Nomadlozi said, her tone soft but resolute. Adam gave her a crooked smile. > “Easy for you to say. You’re not the one getting married.” Nomadlozi looked at him, something uneasy settling in her stomach. > “The one getting married?” she repeated slowly. > “Yes.” He said it like it was obvious. Calm. Unbothered. Her heart dropped. She had just risked everything for him. Chose him. Loved him. And now he was sitting there acting like it meant nothing? She scoffed in disbelief. > “I think we should get our own place,” he said casually, pouring the whiskey. “Or better yet—we move to London.” > “Cut the crap, Adam,” she snapped, standing to her feet. “You want to marry Nomafu now?” Adam raised his head and grinned, slow and crooked. > “Yes.” Her stomach twisted. Fury and heartbreak crashing in her chest. > “You—” she choked, shaking her head. He rose from the floor and reached for her hand, his grip firm but playful. > “With you,” he said, flashing that smirk she hated to love. He was teasing her. Pushing her buttons. And it was working. He looked at her flushed, furious face with pride. Like her anger turned him on. > “You’re so damn full of yourself,” she snapped, yanking her hand away. > “And yet, here you are,” he murmured, eyes drinking her in. > “Bullshit,” she hissed, storming into the bathroom and slamming the door behind her. She leaned against it, breathing heavily. Her heart thundered. Her thighs still ached with memory. Her lips still tingled from his kiss. But right now, all she wanted to do was scream. He drove her crazy. And yet, outside that door… she knew he was waiting. Wanting. And so was she.
