Kay entered and sat on a soft coach
At exactly 1pm, Christian drove into the girls compound. Majestically, he came out of the car and with a quick stride got to the entrance of the girls apartment. Gently he ring the doorbell......
Monica answered at the first ring.
"Kay xup come inside nah , no be say you be visitor"
"Thanks
"KPK , Rose your hottie don come o" Debbie shouted to no one in particular and Christian smiled at her silliness
"Uncle no vex o, that stubborn girl go soon come out" Ivy joked
"No probs"
"En en.... Christian nah so life be?, you enter inside you no fit ask for your friend" Eshoe joked as she entered the sitting room with Rose behind her
"Eshoe, why you no stop school make you go open your own beauty salon, see as Rose fine like say today be her wedding"
*Rose blushed*
"Christian you can see we are taking care of your bride , see her fat cheek"
"Yunno see baka and Chelsea, figure eight"

"I wonder where I got this village girls from, anyways Kay please let's go" Rose turned to Christian who was enjoying the scene before him

Rose proceeded shyly as her legs trembled that she feared she might get indomie legs soon
" Geez why am I feeling like this? " She muttered as Kay followed her behind
" Kay take care of Rose o" Eshoe shouted after them
" Rose, you are gisting us when you return o" Ivy also shouted after them
When they got to the car, Christian rushed to help Rose open the car, when she sat it he shut the door behind her and jogged to the other side of the car, he entered and started the car. Thus they drove out of the compound
" Your friends are cute and funny " Christian started a conversation
" But they are sometimes embarrassing" Rose nod her head negatively
"Why?, I see nothing embarrassing in their characters , they are just funny"
"Why won't you support them when you don't live with them. They day you start living with them en, you will know their local sides"
'"But I'm sure your house is never boring with those babes"
"Maybe especially Eshoe, she can disturb like...... If she starts her paparazzi en, I'm always the one begging her to leave me alone"
"She still haven't changed, she have always been like that. If she's gentle you should know something is fishing"
"Exactly she is never gentle, her husband sef go try " Rose smiled at her words and Christian caught that immediately
" Your smile is beautiful " Christian said making Rose blush
" I'm jealous of those beautiful dimples " He added making Rose blush again
" Thanks "Rose said softly
" Rose please can you tell me about yourself? "
" Like what? "
" Maybe from your family, things you like, things you don't like, your favorite etcetera "
" Why must you know all of that? "
" As your friend don't you think I ought to know "
" But I don't know yours "
ROSE POV
Rose better watch what you say. Do I really care to know about him? NO, Rose abeg think before speaking
"Okay maybe I start first" He replied and started
"I'm an indigene of jos , I'm the second child of my parents, My best color is Red. I don't think I have a favorite food. I hate lies , I prefer frankness no matter the implications, I hate getting betrayed, what else do I hate.........? Maybe when I remember them I would tell you, Now to things I like, I love my family and I think I Like............ Rose" He paused and looked at me. I just hope I don't fall under his spell before I realize
" Stop it" was my silly response
"I mean rose 🌹 flower" Rose happy embarrassment day
CHRISTIAN POV
".....I think I like Rose" I paused and looked at her to see her reaction. Since her reaction was abstruse I decided to change my word
" Stop it " She said and I smiled
" I mean rose 🌹 flower " I averted my gaze from her to the road
" Okay " was her cold reply and she was silent
" Won't you tell me about yourself "
" I hail from Lagos State, I and my sisters are the second and last children of my parent"
" U and ur sisters, are you twin"
" No, triplet "
" Wow your mom tried oh, it must have been tough for her to nurture three at a time"
"Stop it" She nudged me playfully "who told you triplet are tough to nurture"
"But it can't be so easy as to a child" I paused and continued "maybe little difference since you have an elder brother or sister"
"Elder brother but he is missing"
"OMG I'm sorry" Actually I feel bad for her
"It's fine" She continued "my best color is blue"
"I assume that pink is every ladies colour"
"I don't think so, cos as for me o I'm not a fan of pink but blue"
"That's incredible" I commented
" My best food is maybe fresh toast and Milo pudding "
" Different types of dishes Sha"
" But the meal is amazing, don't worry I will make you taste it one day "
" I'll be looking forward to it" I said as I drove into the eatery compound
" We are here already " I told her as I parked the car, we unbuckled our seat belt
" Please don't stand up" I said as I got out of the car and jogged to the other side to open the door for her
" Stop acting like a gentle man" She said as she came out. I locked the car and we proceeded inside
NARRATOR'S POV
The waitress approached the duo with the menu list. They ticked their desired dishes on the menu list and returned it to the waitress who left immediately to get their orders. They both discuss about random things till their meals was brought to the table
" We should eat" Kay opened his food and help Rose open her's
" Thanks " She took up her cutleries and dig in
*They both ate in silence*
After they finish their meals, Christian broke the silence
"Back to our abandoned discussion" He dabbed his mouth with a napkin
"What?"
"What you like and hate"
"I like my friends and hate my enemies" Rose smiled and Christian chuckled
"Okay I have a question for you if you won't mind"
"No you can speak on"
"Okay, what was your past with men like"
"Isn't it awkward to start this kinda conversation during lunch?"
"Oh.., am sorry. I was just curious. We can change topics" Rise ignored
"It was like moving from paradise to hell. Actually the beginning of the relationship was amazing but the end was abysmal"
" it's not necessary if you don't wanna talk about it"
" Yh. Let's talk about random things "
